Because of the JB sack after running the ball effectively in 2nd half. Really stupid play call there. Just run a couple of more yards, and FG probably not blocked.

This was a game that they should have won walking away. Bad play calling and messed up blocking on a FG attempt.

The first pass to Metcalf for a 45 yard TD was a defensive miscommunication. Gonzalez didn't pass him off properly and Dugger was caught flat footed as DK just cruised by.

We can't complain too much. just gets frustrating when the coaches try to change horses in the middle of a parade.

Thanks. Pats are better than last year, but not extremely good, as was shown today. Why did they shy away from the run that was working? Anyone’s guess.

Yeah, to go for pass when in FG range was beyond stupid, which put them at 50+ attempt, which led to blocked FG. Especially when you just ran for a bunch of yards to get there.
Anyway, It’s ok. Team looks much better than last years.

Extremely frustrated at the mismanagement by the coaching staff.

I'm usually conservative but I had a bad feeling not going for it on 4th and short in OT was going to be our demise. Put the jumbo pkg in that had worked all game and go for it, even in our own end.

D played well but we had no answer for Smith-Njimba. The big screw up on the Metcalf TD killed us.

This was a game we could've and should've won. Oh well.

The o-line was very bad in pass protection. It seemed like Brissett was hit a lot today. Was wincing on several of them. He has no time to throw the ball. I seriously don’t remember one pass that went 15-20 yards. It’s so much easier playing defense when you know everything is going to be in front of you. It’s a miracle that our running backs were so effective when a team can crowd the line of scrimmage.

And yes. They should have gone for it on 4th and 1. They were running well all game long.

Better pass protection. Can’t throw anything medium to deep because Brissett has no time. Every pass is short and quick and he’s still getting rocked by the defense.

Where has Austin Hooper been? Henry has been showing up until Seattle shut him down.

We all knew this line was going to suck. Just have to endure it now. Hope they can address in the off-season.

Got to stick with the jumbo package until teams shut it down. Mix in a couple play where Wallace leaks out to keep the D honest. There really is little Jacoby can do. No way do I want Drake in there at this point.

Short passes were working great until Van Pelt changed the pound, pound, pound, pass to
pass, pass, pass.
The Seattle defense was starting to get just a little beat up and the he gave the big guys a rest.

A bad call by Mayo was not taking the five yard penalty for a 2nd and 12. He declined for a 3rd and 7 and Geno got a short pass for 9. From that point, they cruised to the end zone.

The Patriots defense will make teams work for yards, but there has been a problem for the past seven years, they just don't or can't cover the area behind the line backers once the play starts. Basically they have a real problem when a WR goes in motion and they send a DB across to cover. The WR crossing starts up and there's a WR that steps and turns across the middle. The DBs either bump into each other or both start to cover the crosser.
Result? A linebacker has to move into the space about one second after the ball is released for a twelve yard completion. The better the QB, the more often that they go to that same area.
