I didn't realize he did that well...19 TD's and 1 INT? In 11 games? How is that only 31st out of 38? Those are better numbers than anyone we rolled out there had.

I like Hoyer as a backup. He was a good playoff game away from being a very, very hot commodity this offseason...now of course he had a horrible game, so...
That is interesting...is that a typo? Had no idea he was 19-1.
My hesitation would be, Im not sure what kind of $ he's still owed. May be too much for the cap hit? Though as some have said, there will likely be more restructuring in the future

Hoyer would be an Ideal back up, when Romo gets hurt again...I mean if he gets hurt again Hoyer with Dez and the crew playing well we could still get into the playoffs. Other than Carolina, Arz, and GB. The NFC is wide open IMO
Dear God I hope not. Why would adding a run stopping, role playing DT change our views about a player we honk can make a big enough impact to take 4 overall. Even adding Long wouldn't change that IMO. Long could be short in this league even if he bounces back due to his injury history, if we take Bosa or Buckner it would be because we think they can be very good players for a very long time and I don't think they would have the same role. I think there is room on this defense for a lot more talent on the DL. I hope we do see up to 3 new faces in the rotation.I wonder if the Thornton signing takes us off Bosa or Buckner in the draft. Surely, adding Long too would
I agree. We all seem to cling to this memory of this young QB we didn't want to see leave the Cowboys and ignore what he has actually done in this league. He has had many opportunities to perform and really hasn't.Hoyer has been playing and putting up decent numbers.
Moore scares me. 30 NFL passes in 4 years.
There's a little rust ...and there's a seized engine.
Unless we go QB relatively early in the draft (and possibly even if we do) we need to make sure we have a good backup even if we have to totally overpay because the odds STRONGLY suggest he'll be playing.Hoyer would be an Ideal back up, when Romo gets hurt again...I mean if he gets hurt again Hoyer with Dez and the crew playing well we could still get into the playoffs. Other than Carolina, Arz, and GB. The NFC is wide open IMO
I heard he had no interest in the CowboysKevin Acee of the Union Tribune reports that free agent S Eric Weddle has “at least four irons in fire” with the Raiders being one of them.
The Panthers, Patriots and Steelers have all come up as speculative options for Weddle.
- According to Acee, Weddle is just in the talking phase of the free agent process with these teams as of now.
- Jason La Canfora does not expect Weddle to sign with a team “anytime soon” and will consider all of his options before doing so.

I like the idea, but how much $$$$ will Wilkerson eemand.Jets are going to struggle to fit a starting QB under their cap. Wonder if the asking price for Wilkerson is dropping. Give up our 2nd, cut Carr with a post 6/1 designation, restructure Smith and make an offer??? Would be our best DL and change our entire defense.
