If we somehow fuckup and get Manziel, I'm blaming you.

FYI, I was kidding when I said I wanted JFF here. I'm on record as saying I'd be upset if Dallas drafted him. I don't think he will be a massive bust, but he won't do well in the NFL. He is faster than all but 1 or 2 guys on defense in the college world. He is faster than only 1 or 2 on an NFL defense. His legs ain't gonna buy him all that time in the NFL.
I think the price for the #2 pick with Manziel sitting there will be a 1 & 2 this year and next, and probably a 1 the following year as well.

I agree with you on his future. Yeah, when Clowney's 40 time smoked his, it should have let him know where he is now

lol, I don't want him here in all seriousness. I'll merge this with the other thread.
Remember, I'm hoping AJ McCarron is sitting there in the 4th and we get him to be the backup for a few years, then see if he has enough to cut Romo.
My feeling is that he will bulk up a bit, which will slow him a bit. He will get stronger and his arm is accurate enough. He will cause headaches for anyone that could draft him, because there are no teams with a no-brainer QB starting (payton, brees, Brady, Cam, etc). So he will have to be a first year starter, and the speed of the game will destroy him.
I think AJ and Murray may be there in the 5th. For the record I'd prefer Murray.
Murray would be better, and if they both are there I'd agree. I think the early run on QB's will drive both of them up into about the 3rd round though. In that case, rather than drafting a QB "just because" I'd hope we would look for players cut or undrafted roster fillers.
That's possible but the early run on QB's will eliminate the teams needing a QB. I can see a team drafting two QB's and letting them compete for the job.
My let round QB gem is Shaw from South Carolina
#R. Wilson 2.0
I don't want Wilson2.0. Just because one midget QB wins doesn't mean that's the new way to go. Hell I'm not even sold on Wilson. He had a great team around him.
I like Wilson, but damn if I haven't already heard 3 different guys in this draft called the next Russell Wilson or a poor man's Russell Wilson.
This does have Jerry written all over it though. See player succeed, Find similar player...At least that philosophy ensures we will draft some defense this year. I cracked up reading Stephen's quotes about how relying on free agency isn't the way to build a team though...How long did it take these morons to realize this? I would love to hear the "Football talk" that goes on around their dinner table. My wife would fit right in and she doesn't know how many downs you get...
The only late round Qb I would get upset over is Logan Thomas
What if he's taken in the 4th round?
• Virginia Tech QB Logan Thomas had a monster workout on Sunday. Not only is he the strongest-armed quarterback in this class, but at 6-6, 250 pounds, he ran the fastest 40 time among QBs at 4.61 in addition to producing the best vertical and broad jumps and second-fastest short shuttle time behind Manziel. If you’re drafting him, you’re doing so knowing that he has a longer road to development than other quarterbacks. He was very inconsistent with his accuracy and mechanics at Virginia Tech. But if you can really teach and coach the quarterback position, he’s the ultimate project: Nobody else has his raw ability, and he’s a high-character guy, too.
no problem with a 7th rounder if Orton stays another year and Thomas gets a year on the PS. Hard not to be intrigued by the measurables and I thought he played a pretty good game in his bowl game
