i appreciate mike lange's voice and knowledge, but his goal calls are annoying as shit haha

Steiggy in reference to Briere sneaking in front of the net: "Briere was able to sneak out unmolested."

I think you were looking for uncontested there Paul.

it's easy to do when you have no direction as an organization... like they did in both of the instances where you are inferring they tanked.

What truly makes an organization successful are the guys at the top calling the shots. This is pretty evident in how the Pens have done this season. When the leaders of the club know what the hell they're doing, bad situations can be turned into positives.

ray shero for president?

if he can run the country like he runs his hockey team who knows where we could be

Shero: Hey Egypt. Let's make a deal. You give us all your oil, we'll give you the WNBA.

Egypt: How about we throw in the pyramids?

Ray is definitely on another level when it comes to savvy decisions. He must have got that from his dad, perhaps :bounce:

Flyers probably deserved to lose points in the standings tonight. The 1 already is clearly from the hockey gods making up for Tuesday.

Agreed.

FSN's decision clearly was only about money. They could pay these scrubs much less and think they are getting away with it.

The thing I like most about Lange isn't his voice, his knowledge, or his goal calls. It's the way he smoothly and accurately describes the action and intensity on the ice. He talks a mile a minute yet his delivery and inflections are so smooth. He paints a great picture of what is going on on the ice.

In that regard, he probably IS better suited for radio. :(

What was I just watching for that shift? Did I see effort on the Flyers' part?!

Pens look like they really want these 2 points...too bad they didn't act like this in regulation.

A good radio voice can also work on television. Vin Scully is simulcast on both tv and radio for the Dodgers, and I listen to him on my way home most nights from work. I can sit down and watch him just as easily on tv.

Knowledge of the game, plus a good delivery trumps all imo. Steiggy possesses none of those traits
