All I can say is that the Flyers are a much, much better team than they showed tonight. It looked like Claude Giroux, possibly even Ville Leino and then a bunch of scrubs with nothing left to play for.

It should be disappointing and downright embarrassing, but I don't know the psyche of this team right now. Maybe they truly don't care where they end up in the standings and are just waiting for the playoffs to begin.

A few comments:

Lovejoy and Letang carried the Penguins on the blueline tonight. They were both incredible. I'm beginning to think Engelland's the odd man out when Orpik returns, because Lovejoy's playing some really great hockey right now.

Neal is going to be a 30-35 goal scorer next year. He's got all the tools to score, but right now he just doesn't have the luck. And his motor never stops. I love his compete level and the way he fights for every puck.

Kovalev was alive tonight.

Staal's playing like a top 6 forward and a shutdown forward. Kunitz-Staal-Kennedy looks like a legitimate NHL second line that could produced a lot of goals over an entire season.

Bobrovsky loves playing the Penguins.

Kimo Timmonen still has it.

To ****** literally means to bother, interfere with, or annoy. I hate Steiggy as much as anyone else, but he used that word correctly. In fact, to bother, interfere with, or annoy is the first definition of ******. Those with sexual implications are second and third definitions. In Spanish, the word for "to bother" is molestar.

Nothing upsets me more than watching my team put forth a lackluster effort. That said, I believe in them and they will right this ship eventually. When they finally do, it's going to be something special.

I get ya. I'd rather watch my team work their butts off and come up just short than mail it in and muster out a point.

I'm so proud of this Pens team....they've had every reason to pack it in for the year and just go through the motions....but they keep fighting...what more could you ask for as a fan....I can't wait for Sid to get back...I can't wait for next year and see what this team is capable of at full strength.
