I've watched all pittsburgh sports for a long time, and apart from the revolving door on the steeler o-line, i've never seen a roster get decimated like this before from a star standpoint.
All three top centers have now missed at least 20 games, or more this season. Not to mention the other plethora of injuries.
So well known facts that were proven wrong by the FSN crew tonight:
-Boynton was traded from Anaheim to Philadelphia, not claimed off waivers from Chicago.
-Flyers beat the Sabres in the shootout to make the playoffs in game 82 last year, not the Rangers.
-Claude Giroux was taken 13th overall in 2006, not 22nd overall.
The Penguins have all 5 guys out of the defensive zone and joining the offense before the Flyers get any of their forwards out of the zone.
That's fucking sad.
its bad, no doubt, i'm just saying hte pens have been pretty lucky over the past few years
This looks like the Flyers teams from the early and mid 2000s. No one wearing orange has the ability to make pass that doesn't require the recipient to reach for the puck.
in any case, i've had enough of it. I appreciate and am astounded with how well the team has dealt with the adversity, but i'm ready to see them go more than two or three games without losing another player
clearly!
although if you break it down, i think thats 1 for steiggy, 1 for errey, and 1 for potash.....
i'm not sure if thats good or bad actually.
And to comment on Steigy/Errey, just know that they're the reason I hate FSN. FSN got rid of Mike Lange...Mike Lange is in the HHoF. Mike Lange is a legend. Mike Lange does his homework before a game to make sure he has the right stats and is making good points during a broadcast. And they moved him to radio.
i appreciate mike lange's voice and knowledge, but his goal calls are annoying as shit haha
and holy shit, did odonnell just make a good play?
at least they didnt relapse and go with the 'tank the season for a high pick' method they've excelled at in years past
