Good, good. He has turned into hot garbage more recently, but I've liked him in the past. No risk, high reward

I can live with that.2 years would have been 1 too many IMO.Not like he's been lighting it up anywhere lately.Hopefully, he can contribute.

I'm good with this. I hope a change in scenery will resurrect his career? He's only 24 yrs old. Mason was aweful until he arrived in Philly. I think Hexy did a great job here under the circumstances.

Also if this does pay off it will pay off for years to come. MDZ may flop, but if he turns it around we are going to have a 24 year old offensive defenseman in the ranks

Love it. Ive seen the kids potential he just needs to focus on consistency and he could end up being a solid pro. This move also allows the young guys more time which is probably a good thing unless they outright earn a spot. I'm pumped to see how this plays out...

I almost forgot to mention that MDZ was taken one pick ahead of Sbisa...funny how we now have signed him for next to nothing. Makes the Pronger trade look a little better.

I like this signing and hopefully Del Zotto puts some points on the board to off set his lack of defensive ability. At least he gives us a bridge to the young guns coming up. Low risk high reward possibly and lets face it at times last year Timmo hurt us giving up multiple breakaways and not keeping the puck in the zone. Hope he gets better and best case scenario this could be a blessing in disguise

I think Holmgren and Hextall have brought in a kid (MDZ) whose career is going to flourish in Berube's approach and system.

Perhaps, but personally I was thinking he would thrive under a wide-open coach like Laviolette which is why I was surprised Nashville didn't qualify him. Anyway, like everyone else here I like the signing for the term and cost.

I was just thinking about this, in NYR and Nashville, those teams had deep defenses, so any little mistake MDZ made, those teams would hold it against him more - he's not perfect by any means but I think with the Flyers, they will have to play him no matter what so he will be able to make some mistakes yet learn from them and be better for it because he'll get the repetition of playing every night and not having to worry if someone is going to replace him
