Here's the deal. It's a draft pick. there is no guarantee if this pick will be a stud or a bust. JVR is still very young and I bet he will put up bigger numbers than Okposo when JVR peaks and I know stay healthy. Draft picks are a crap shoot. We of all people who love Philly sports should know this. Most of you are already calling JVR a bust already. He was the fucking overall #2 pick. I don't think my proposal was way off here. I think it's more fair than what DaBolts had. I see his point, but my point I think is better. As for cutting the salary, we can do that with other guys. Shouldn't be any problem.

I will agree that draft pick are a crap shoot as Jvr was a #2. maybe i am still pissed that the season is over but there are a few guys that I dont want to see next season. I dont want Carle or Jvr back. I think the team played better without him and at $4.2 I think the money can be ued to make the team better. This draft has some very talented dmen and Kimmo has to be replaced. I would be willing to give up Jvr to get into the top 5. I highly doubt Jvr would bring a top 5 pick because of his cap hit. I hope he scores 40 for us next year but I don't see it. I really want one of those dmen. If the cap goes up $4mill, Pronger $5m, shittey $1.1 and Jvr we would have about $18 million. I would think we could do well with that amount.

It's heresy, but Letang really won my respect in Pens series. Athletic, physical, and can move the puck, too. Protoype.
