Fuck, forced to read a couple of Grishams until some library books come in.

Nothing against him but not usually a go to for me.

This one is The Brethren, seems to be about election fixing.

Read my first book by him, and wasn't impressed. Not my cup of tea

All more or less one direction, super heroes.

I'd rather read a real book.
not necessarily. There are graphic novels that are not super heroes.

Saga for instance is a pretty great science fiction GN that I have been enjoying for years.

not superheroes.

For the most part then.

Still prefer just words.

Not heard of that, but I read all the Hardy Boys. Every Dr Seuss.

And a lot of comics.
Really?

Series by R.L. Stine, whom I believe holds the record for the most different number of books published in the world.

I'm also 35 so Hardy Boys and co were a bit 'before my time'.

More about favorite authors than books.

I own all or almost all the books by....

H.P.Lovecraft
Edgar Alan Poe
Robert E. Howard
Michael Moorcock
Louis L' Amour
Zane Grey
Max Brand
Luke Short
Lee Child
James Lee Burke
Herman Hesse
John Steinbeck
Harlan Ellison

Not a bad read found there.

My wife made the decision last year to read the top 100 novels writteni the 20th century. Then she decided to include Pulitzer Prize winners.

Today she asked me to find her a copy of "Years of Grace". It was written by Margaret Barnes in the 1800s and reprinted in paperback once in 1932 and is not allowed to be reprinted. A hardcover costs about $40 unless it's signed by th author and then it ramps up to about $1100. If you can find a paperback the cheapest I've found is $50. I found one on eBay and put the first bid on it. I know I won't get it for $20.

Love Jimmy Burke.

Prefer Preston and Child to Reacher. But still read the Reachers.

Try F Paul Wilson.
