As a totally unbiased NBA fan I gotta say that I think Kobe is having his best year ever.

Lebron shouldn't be top 5 but he is top 10 as Kobe should be as well.

Magic was an enigma because of his size and passing ability, much like Lebron.

But, Magic was a natural born Leader and Lebron is still kinda growing into that role.

Magic also has the " what if factor " working in his favor.

For folks like me that absolutely LOVE him, I like to tell myself that he would have more rings/accomplishments had he not gotten sick.

Whether that's true or not is anyone's guess .

I can't bring myself to say Bron was better.

So, I will say that Magic's standing is substantially increased because he is beloved.

Many love Bron too.

But, just as many hate him.

He has always been a leader. He really found his ways in Miami playing with Wade. But he really never had a coach that actually coached him since high school honestly, so that could be the delay in him being a leader. Magic always had a good coach and great teammates.

Flip Kobe and Shaq. Shaq was too lazy to be Top 10 all time. He had the potential but he never put the effort in to sustain it. By the time he got to the Heat, he had already started mailing it in. If he actually worked at conditioning, he could have been the dominating Shaq all the way through the late 00s.

You must be reading a different thread than everyone else. There are just as many, if not more, "I don't like Kobe, but he should be top 10" comments than there are any Kobe fans "flipping out."

ESPN has basically said in the HISTORY the NBA there are only two players better than Lebron. Excuse me while I wipe the bullshit from my shoes!

If I had to build a team around one player and wasn't allowed to chose MJ or Kareem, Lebron probably wouldn't make it in the starting 5. In fact it would be

C - Shaq
PF - Karl Malone
SF - Larry Bird
SG - Kobe
PG - Magic

And i'm willing to bet that most people who don't have 'lebron' tattooed on their dick would agree to some extent.
