I don't like Kobe but he should be at least #9 or #10.

ESPN rankings don't mean jack shit anyways.

id put kobe at 9 or 10 as well...i think he is a top 10 guy....

LeBron though- if he is not a top 5 guy now- will without a doubt be one before all is said and done. 4 mvps is insane.

Yeah, Bron needs one more ring imo to become top 5. He's hovering in that area, but these next few years will make or break where he lands all-time.

I wouldn't spit on Kobe Bryant if he was on fire.

But, number 12?

Cocaine is a helluva drug.

:wtf:

Kobe at 12 doesn't seem right but Id take everyone listed above him except Bird.

2. Kareem
3. Lebron
4. Magic

Kinda crazy Lebron already surpassed Magic in their opinion. Wonder if one more title for Lebron and he passes Kareem then?

Kareem is likely untouchable unless Lebron plays another 5 years or so at a high level. Kareem and MJ in general are pretty much untouchable and Lebron will likely join that club at some point but he isnt there yet. Magic probably would've been untouchable if...well, we all know what happened.

"No one has ever had as much hype as James has had to live up to, and James has delivered on every last drop."

^^^This is pretty dead accurate. He has been hyped since his sophomore year in H.S. #1 draft pick and so on

He is on pace to surpass his record in points, but like you said he would have to play at high level for 5 years. For that to happen he would have to play the low-post more. But he is in good enough shape to play at a very high level for another 3 years, so 35 years old. From a rebounding standpoint, Kareem was starting to decline at 34 or so, but still very very good. He still averaged an amazing 25 ppg at the age of 38. It will be hard for Lebron to do that being a guard/forward, that's why I said if he becomes more a PF than he could be dominant on the block. But he will still need a couple more titles to pass him regardless IMO

Magic was an enigma because of his size and passing ability, much like Lebron.

But, Magic was a natural born Leader and Lebron is still kinda growing into that role.

Magic also has the " what if factor " working in his favor.

For folks like me that absolutely LOVE him, I like to tell myself that he would have more rings/accomplishments had he not gotten sick.

Whether that's true or not is anyone's guess :noidea:.

I can't bring myself to say Bron was better.

So, I will say that Magic's standing is substantially increased because he is beloved.

Many love Bron too.

But, just as many hate him.
