I'd rule out the Cowboys acquiring Thomas. The guy will be 30 and has suffered two broken legs. Why invest in a guy whose best days are behind him?
I'm not in the sign ET camp, but if you think Dallas is fully out on him, you don't know Jerry and Co.

I never saw that. That was great and absolutely sums up Sean Lee. I honestly feel if his body didn't fail him over and over again that he would have gone down as an All Time great and a HOF'er.
Lee has been a solid player but to say he would have been a HOF'er is just hyperbole.

Yes I do know Jerry and company and his history of poor acquisitions.

Another safety hits the market.

ANDREW SENDEJODB, UNSIGNED FREE AGENT

Vikings declined Andrew Sendejo's 2019 option, making him a free agent.

The move saves Minnesota $5.5 million against the cap. Sendejo is a quality safety, but the Vikings do not need him after Anthony Harris emerged last season. Sendejo is entering a deep safety market, but he should be able to find a new home relatively quickly.

Just saw that. I guess maybe 2 year $28M plus. I go higher per year on a short contract than a longer one. For 2 years I give him $24-25M. If he wants the title throw a $15M year on the back end to make him highest paid and then cut him after 2 years.

EARL THOMASDB, UNSIGNED FREE AGENT

NFL Network's Jane Slater reports free agent Earl Thomas is seeking a two-year, $30 million contract.
Slater later clarified it was $14 million or more per year. In terms of average annual value, that would make Thomas the highest-paid safety in the league, which is his goal. Thomas' play has never fallen off, but he is going on 30, coming off a major injury, and part of a glutted safety market. That could be a tough ask, but it only takes one team. Thomas still has the most star power/name recognition in his safety class.

If they dont sign a safety to replace heath, we see more of the same again next year. Must upgrade the position.

Agree. But damn there are a shitload of 'em out there that are huge upgrades for us. It doesn't have to be Earl. I'll take the 5th or 6th best one and be happy. Who went off the board so far, just Weddle?

This is the type of guy I expect the Cowboys to land. Would be an upgrade

Lol, skins are idiots as usual. Glad he is no longer available for our sake. I would take the badger or earl over him.

Earl would be worth 14mil per season, but only if he does not get injured. It would be a gamble and jerry has gambled in the past, but not much lately.

Cowboys think because they've been extremely lucky in drafting that they can just continue to ignore free agency. The shit is getting on my fucking nerves. You can draft well and still bring in at least one big time free agent. I don't care what it takes to get Earl. Get him. Are the Cowboys really gonna let a few million keep them from getting Earl?

Honey Badger signing with the Chiefs for a team friendly deal it appears. Dont know what the guaranteed money is but the Skins once again look foolish as hell for what they are gonna pay Collins.

Cowboys need to sign Earl now

Dont think we would entertain this until we know what the others will cost us. If it looked doable after others got signed. Then I could see us entertaining the thought for a couple years.
