My personal choice would be within two weeks of the actual NFL Trade Deadline.

(I'd like it to be the same, but I know that won't happen.)

Yeah the NFL trade deadline is October 28th, seems just a bit to soon.

If we are to have a trade deadline, I don't care what day it is as long as it is not the NFL trade deadline

As long as Heinie Groh, Paul Molitor, and Jack Glasscock are still ahead of me I have work to do.
Just this morning I learned Heinie Grohs parents were German Immigrants, just like Gunther Cunningham.

Who once cost the Lions a draft pick, by saying he liked his former players. That's reverse tanking.

Before too long I might start considering Molitor a Manager and not a DH.

Holy Crap on a Cracker!

I sure hope I don't catch Trade Fever during football season like I did this week in baseball...

Nah, what're the odds of that happening?:yes::nono::nono::yes::yes:

We don't need a trade deadline because of collusion. We need one to absorb some sort of risk and maintain a good competitive balance.

If there is no deadline, what 10-3 team wouldn't give their picks for players? And what 3-10 team wouldn't give a bubble keeper/old vet for picks? It's not collusion, it's just unbalanced post seasons, year after year.

A deadline makes the 6-3 team make a decision. Sure, there could be a 9-0 /0-9 scenario, but I doubt that happens often.

November 11th, the day before Week 10 is my suggestion for a trade deadline. Then offseason trades begin the day our SB ends.

So I decided to go back and read this thread in it's entirety because I wasn't frequenting SH as much at the time it was started so I missed most of the conversation. I decided to do it because a commish in one of my other leagues has decided that our league should convert to a dynasty league, which I would love to do, but I don't like his idea of basically making it a keeper league where we keep most of the roster instead of 1-3 players as most keepers are. I thought I could glean some ideas I hadn't thought of from you all but I have to tell you that by the 300th post you had all given me a headache regarding your debates on league size and participants! :gaah:I say that mostly in jest but only mostly!

On a more serious note, I too have been wanting to put together/join a "true" dynasty league but just as was the case here before the start of last season, I've not had enough interest from enough "serious" FFB enthusiasts but the quest will continue. In the meantime I wish you all nothing but best of luck with yours. :suds:I will be watching from the cheap seats to see how a Dynasty league should work. :thumb:

Lastly, I haven't gotten to the point in the thread where you decided on a host site but if you ultimately decided on Fantrax what do you think of it so far? I'm leaning towards wanting to do a Dynasty league on MyFantasyLeague but am curious about Fantrax as well.

We did the baseball on Fantrax last year and I already had one Dynasty league on Fantrax. It can be confusing to get around on at times, but I like it a lot more than Yahoo or ESPN.

I took brees and Seattle DEF, Seattle was a reach but I figured there is going to be a premium on good Ds and I plan on snatching as many as I can. Brees was a no brainer since I have Cooks so I got the hook up.

Glanced at the Seattle D for my next pick. But there's many good D's still in the league. Good pick nonetheless

Im probably gonna end up trading them to Harold!

I kid you not, that was plan A. Micro sniped me in suicide and I didn't want that to happen again.:gaah:

I can't believe someone took them ahead of me.
