I like standard scoring but would be ok with .5 PPR. I'm all for kickers having 3,4,5 scoring based on distance, I also like to penalize kickers for missed extra points but that's not a big deal as it barely happens.

My preference for roster would be:
QB
2 RB
2 WR
1TE
1 RB/WR/TE
1 Def
1 K

The big thing for me is whether this is a keeper league or dynasty league.

I favor large benches to build for future and no more than 12 teams. However if we get 20 interested we could do two 10 man leagues

And thats my point... Not trying to take away the value of the kicker who has lots of opportunities, but shouldn't a kicker who is actually good get a bonus...

the truth is that my proposal and the yards/10 are pretty much the same, my proposal just weakens the value of a chip in and actually increases (more than the yards/10) the value of FG 50 yards or more...

I get bonuses for longer ones, but I don't think any FG should be less than three. You shouldn't punish a kicker because EJ Manuel couldn't get the ball in the end zone while in the red zone. That advantage for the kicker is just as plentiful as the kicker who has five extra points because his QB is good.

Yes, the kickers have to start with a base of three.

(In that same vein, i think 5 points for a TD is friggin ridiculous as well, since they're worth 6 on a scoreboard, but that ship sailed long ago)

But I'll stick up for those lonely kickers for awhile longer

Milk. A kicker can't be based on talent alone. It doesn't matter where they're kicking from, every opportunity comes from their team. Just because someone kicks a 50 yarder, doesn't mean he's better than a guy who kicks a 30 yarder. It's ALL about opportunity and team.

With Fuzzies, how many does that make 15? As I always say with this if we have too many, the longer termed MBBRL people should get the spots, but someone else mentioned just run it up to 20 and have two leagues. Another idea is one more player and having two eight team leagues, with it being a keeper/dynasty league we will be drafting more players and scraping the bottom of the barrel.

I am thinking just use MBBRL rules for starting roster and points. Bench and amount of keepers

Bench should be more than five, but how many more should be dependent on how many teams no more than the nine starters though. Keepers should be dependent on the size of our bench, but I think everybody is in agreement that it should be between 75-100% of total roster.

i would like to keep sam and everyone in this so even though I agree with most that 12 is a good number the heck with it lets do 14 or more and really test our skills as sleepers will be the determining factor of who biulds the longest lasting DYNASTY! Who shot JR? oh wait that was Dallas

I'm basically in the same boat as Sam. If it's a numbers game I understand. The two of us are at 13-14.

It's cool if you decide on 12. But I'd rather you go with 14 and do this thing on Fantrax.
