how about you must keep your starters and drop your bench... it will create strategy between seasons...

you have until a certain date before the draft to set your starters, and bench...

i am not offended... I am an ideas person...but 90% of my ideas get shut down...

But here are my 3 main scoring ideas(i will start slow with some minor ideas)

1. full point PPR
2. .33 points per rush attempt
3. 1 point per FG up to 30 yards then an extra one point per 5 yards

I kinda like the keep your starters and lose your bench. Maybe taking it a step farther and keeping one off the bench, for that young guy you might want to use in the future.

1 yes
2 no I am in one and it really overvalued your RBs.
3 I always wondered about making FGs just be the yardage/10. But you would have to have a site that gives you a lot flexibility.

1 prefer half point or no point
2 no sir!
3 I agree 30-39 = 3; 40-49 =4; 50-59 = 5 ....

And Fantrax would be my site choice and I assume it's the most flexible.

For rosters, my first thought would be:

QB
RB
RB
RB/WR
WR
WR
WR/TE
TE
DST
K

Is that over doing it?

I like it a lot... But of course it is dependent on # of owners...

How about instead of any PPR, we add a point for first down(so it works for both WR and RB)...

Also what i like about my FG proposal, 30 or less yards is similar to an XP, and XPs are 1 point... so i would think it is cool to consider them equal... then 1 point per 5 yards after is similar to your proposals...

I could live with that, but my preference would be the standard 2/2 + 1 flex (RB/WR/TE)

as to the keepers. ..either keep guys or don't keep guys, really not a big fan of all the goofy ways some people do their keepers. Makes no damned sense to me, other than to try and confuse owners who might not beas into it as they are, in the hopes they screw up their team

And please, please, standard scoring categories. .no rush attempts, no first downs, no 20 yd plays. .no picked his nose and ate it on camera.

Yardage, and TDS, and if need be, ppr..after that is just more ways to screw up a good thing

The thing about that though, is if my kicker kicked three 27 yard field goals, I don't think 3 points is right for his total.

I always laugh at how different we are... I love changing things up a little, find the perfect scoring... I don't think standard is Best... You care more about the players and for that reason you like keeping everything as standard as possible...

But why?? don't you think that kickers should be more about the kicker himself and not about the opportunities he gets...

When I think "dynasty" league I think way more keepers than 3. I think like 8-12 but not the entire roster. But I'm ok with that too.

And of its 14 teams in out. In football I just don't think there's enough players to field a good solid squad for all teams. Jmo.

I skimmed what i missed from last night.......and im gonna be out most of the day till at least dinner time

1) rosters should be kept at 75% of roster, its dynasty......
2) benches should be expanded to allow for "building" of a team
3) 14 ownders does get tough, but we have interest....
4) 12 owners is more ideal, how do we determine whose in whose out......first come first serve, vote?
5) i like ppr .5 to 1 points for me
6) kickers standard scoring is cool for me
7) i prefer 6points per passing td but thats me.........

i think im done

thanks ha

Well the thing is, there is no perfect scoring. Simple as that. So there's no no point in attempting it. I've always felt, and always will feel, that the more complex and intricate any rules are, the more it benefits those who came up with them. I NEVER want to win or lose based on manipulation of a scoring system.

I'd much rather everyone has an equal shot with the most basic of set ups, than to potentially lose an owner who gets frustrated and quits because they're tired of trying to understand little nuances in the system.

Simple, basic, fun, no headaches
