I know we all voted against the IR... But i have an interesting idea to bring the IR in, except it really is not an IR...

Here is the proposal-

An owner can place ANY player in the IR slot(may want to change the name of the slot)

The player Can only be put in or taken out during the OFF season(after the rookie draft)... this player does not count to your total roster, and can not be traded, dropped, or rule 5d(if we decide on the rule 5)...

What this slot does is protects a player for a full year, it will mostly be used on rookie projects... But could be used for any other reason...

I don't like it. Iff we're gonna keep a player, we keep him for purposes of being used. If he's not good enough iyo to keep, toss him back. Plus, I doubt sites track this stuff and I'm not keeping track f who has whom in this slot and in which year.

I don't know what platform would even support that. Certainly not ESPN. ..... I'd say if we use IR then use it for what it is intended - if we don't, then it's not worth discussing.

Haha, maybe I'm going crazy, but I find that idea intriguing too.

Still love the Super Flex, even if it is pretty much a strategy killer.

Milk, once we get the rules hacked out in this one. You want to start a baseball one?

I would actually love to start one of those dual sport leagues... Baseball football... not sure how they work but i am fascinated...

so are draft questions next on the agenda??

ie: what kind of draft order
im guessing snake and if we randomize the draft
(a little Milk in me ) i would suggest we randomize the order of choice in the snake

in other words lets say Treff gets chosen as number 1 by a randomizer and Chef number 2

well then Treff would be first to choose his position in the draft order (he may elect to go 3rd or 4th )
and then Chef would follow by picking his spot

Thoughts....

and obviously after this year the draft is based on previous season.s results

That's what we do in my football and baseball money leagues. I like it. I'm known to like to hop to the back of the line.

I actually never understood reverse order from last place to first...

i propose it goes 7-8-9-10-11-12-13-14-6-5-4-3-2-1

where we have a 6 team playoffs

I like both Barilko and Milk's draft ideas.

Milk's order for future drafts will keep teams from blowing games for a better draft pick.

i think we should settle the inaugural draft order first and then look at the future draft ideas after the opening draft is set
