Then Derrick Rose will finally have the Super Team he was talking about before the start of last season.

So, we got a lower second round pick than what we had before the trade, we didn't save practically any money, and the two players we got aren't very good.

What a shit trade. I want to be optimistic about the new GM, considering the organization he hails from, but I cannot understand this trade.

EDIT: Not that I was expecting much for Dwight, but God damn...

Oh, and apparently Plumlee has four more years left on his awful contract. WE COULD HAVE FUCKING OPTED OUT OF DWIGHT'S CONTRACT NEXT YEAR. :frusty:

Great move by the Hornets.

If I'm Jordan, I'd sit Dwight down and tell him "hey let's be real now, you're not the 20 and 14 guy you were in Orlando anymore. But that doesn't matter. Go out there next year and win DPOY again. Reclaim your spot as the best defensive big men."

Charlotte is going to have an excellent defense with Dwight anchoring the middle especially if someone can convince him to just focus on being a defensive beast. Add Batum and MKG who are long wing defenders with Kemba. They're going to be a nasty defense. If they somehow added a Draymond type of power forward, they can be this era's Pistons (04 version)

That's only if Dwight can become Ben Wallace
Dwight doesn't bounce from team to team because he's not good, he bounces from team to team because his teammates fucking hate him and he's a poison in the locker room.

That's the only rational explanation for why the Hawks would take such a seemingly lopsided trade.

It's the truth, Kobe hated his guts in LA, and Harden despised him in Houston.

I'm still disappointed that Schroder never punched him in the fact like I initially predicted he would when we first signed Howard.

DWIGHT HOWARD would have been the #1 overall pick in a league wide dispersal draft from 2007-2010.

Even more than Lebron, teams would have picked a young athletic Howard.

Father time destroyed this guy so quickly in a blink.

His per-minute rebound rates were still the best of his career last year. Still got to give him credit for what he currently is.

So I don't think the Hawks saved anything in salary.

This was an overzealous move to get rid of Howard more than it was a move to shed salary. The Hawks didn't shed much salary at all, if any. Enjoy that Plumlee contract and mediocrity, Atlanta. At least with Howard they had a fighting chance to beat any team on any given night.

The Hawks save money in each of the next 2 years, but took on an extra year of obligation to move on from howard.

Just a weird deal.

Charlotte got a great pick to reunite Howard with a the guy who runs a smart defensive style that fits Howard.

He's also not as good as he thinks he is, which I expect, is part of why his teammates hate him.

The Warriors tried to acquire him at one time and I think GSW was his second or third choice at the time. Thank god he didn't choose the Warriors. Him and Kevin Love are the best two acquisitions to never happen for the Ws.
