Big Ben > Brees

That's the only claim you've made about Brees that's remotely arguable. But I'm only on the 4th page. The rest has been mostly your usual nonsense trolling... and what's with trolling your own board ?

He made one catch the whole season and he did more than Eli. :pound:

All I can do is
People get lost in that catch and forget that Eli did basically hit him in the head with the ball.

Those are the people that think one play determines a game, not 60 minutes. Idiots!

There's definitely truth to what you're saying about Brees. With that said, in comparison to the field, it's not like he isn't a top 10 QB.

Brees is probably the 4th best QB right now. He's also HOF bound.

7 Pro-Bowls (soon to be 8)

4X All-Pro (likely to be 5. Manning is the only active QB with more)

2X Offensive Player of the Year

3X MVP runner-up

Owns or shares multiple NFL records

Statistically the 2nd best playoff QB ever.

All of this accomplished with only one Pro-Bowl/All-Pro skill position player over the last 8 seasons.

I think that all speaks for itself.

Talk about a lack of football knowledge...

It's absolutely shocking! The "lack of football knowledge" is simply inexcusable.

As such, by all means, please impart some pearls of "football knowledge" to us. :suds:

It's utter nonsense. I'm FUBAR right now and am typing this off the top of my drunken head and can humiliate this bullshit nonsense. Be glad I'm not coherent or I'd embarrass you emotional, illogical dupes.

Lets check his who he's played with other than one of the best defenses of our generation and a dominating OL:
-Lance Moore: small, shifty slot receiver
-Shockey/Thomas/Graham: all are above average tight end receivers with Graham being elite
-Marques Colston: prototypical pure possession receiver. Big. Good hands.
-Devery Henderson: prototypical pure deep threat. Can fly.
-Robert Meachem: combo of 2
-Reggie Bush: best receiving back of our generation

"That's mediocre talent at best." - stubborn Brees apologists

If you had to pick one QB to lead your team in the Super Bowl, tell me right now you'd pick Drew Brees on any other team than New Orleans over Big Ben.

No. I wouldn't pick Brees

I would pick Rodgers

Yes, it's not popular to say it and the sheep will flip the fuck out in this thread. But it's time that we come out and say it.

Brees is quite possibly the most consistently overrated QB since Brett Favre. He's not an elite QB and maybe not even 2nd tier.

And I'll go a step further. Drew Brees must have been a marketing major at Purdue because it's been sheer genius how this man has profited so immensely off Hurricane Katrina sympathy. It's been amazing (and disgusting) to watch him pull it off.

And please, don't respond with numbers. Stats don't apply in this case because Drew Brees is a system QB. He's a product of a superb system that demands he work out of the shotgun on 95% of snaps. Plug someone like Flacco or Ryan into that system and they'd be true elites, threatening to enter the Peyton Manning realm. Hell, Tebow would look good in that system.

Brees was a "B" team QB in High School and only offered a Big 10 scholarship at Purdue which produces all the great QBs....strange Brady was a big 10 guy with his 2nd choice after passing on MLB. You might not be far off with this after all.

Brady, Manning, Rodgers and Brees top 4 QB's. All have won a SB and are contention in playoffs more often than not. The only guy right now I would have replace Brady on Pats team is Rodgers. Wilson and Luck might be studs long term, but too early to tell

His agent should advise him to take some of his money, and have that disgusting, permanent gravy-stain on his face, removed.
