Brady, Manning, Rodgers and Brees top 4 QB's. All have won a SB and are contention in playoffs more often than not. The only guy right now I would have replace Brady on Pats team is Rodgers. Wilson and Luck might be studs long term, but too early to tell

welcome aboard Sonny

glad you could make it

His agent should advise him to take some of his money, and have that disgusting, permanent gravy-stain on his face, removed.

That mark is proof of Jesus Christ's blessing in his life. Didn't you know? :noidea:

And if the Chargers didn't have the worst defense in the league, it'd be a 3-man race between Manning, Rivers and Brady.

Brees keeps moving up the list for all-time greatest QBs. Yes you can call him a system QB just like Brady. He has a great team to work with. I always thought Brees was better than Rivers and told Charger fans it would be stupid to get rid of Brees but they didn't listen. Brees has a SB ring too. I guess 1-0 is better than 3-2.

Good think that honor has belonged to the Patriots last 4-5 years. Denver was the only team in AFC that Brady had a losing record against. That has changed last few years. Marshall Faulk and Tony Dungy said that they would both take Brady in big games over any QB.

I totally fucked that up. I meant to say Manning, Rivers and Brady (fixed now). :suds:

Brady is a better QB on every measurable level than Brees. You can plug Brady into most systems and he's ready to go. Brees? Not even close.

PMK what system does Brady have? 4 different OC in 12 years with Macdaniels back 2nd time. If anyone it was Peyton who had Tom Moore for 12 years. If your talking about the Bill Walsh WCO that worked well for SF among a lot of succesful teams, yes but no system

I just got stupidererer reading that line. Rather go to 1 SB and win it than say go to 5 in 10 years and win 3? Very interesting

If you want to use a team accomplishment as Brady being better, than 1-0 as a team in the superbowl is 100% win. 3-2 is 66%, therefore the Patriots are not as good...aka Brees > Brady. Thanks for letting me use your own logic as why Brees is better. We can stir this around anyway you like to get a desired result. So who is better: John Elway or Tom Brady? Why? If you choose Brady it's because he's 3-2 in the big game even though the Patriots defense won all 3 of those games, not Brady. If you have to relate to team accomplishments to prove ONE player is the best, then you have some issues.

People will use the numbers to justify their position. The Brees fan's favorite is the yards, just like Favre. But what they don't want to talk about are the INTs and fumbles (Brees is the worst cause he's a shrimp and can't take a hit).

Brees is a pure system QB and his numbers are a product of that. Plug a prototypical QB into that system and he'd be called the greatest ever; namely Philip Rivers.

I'd looooooove to sit here and argue that Brees is better than Tom Brady but he's not. The Brees camp is almost as irrational and emotional as the Favre people. :L

I guess we watched different games. As I recall the Pats were up in the 4th quarter in every SB and usually very late, just to see that vaunted D give up the lead. All you can ask for is to have your QB put you in a position to take lead and not cause timely pics and have D hold them.

I think when discussing someone as "overrated", there are more variables in the equation than just his play, alone. Public perception, media attention, etc...is he a good QB...sure. Is he light-years ahead of Rivers and the likes, and worthy of constant adulation? Meh. Get's annoying...just like it did with Favre.

That's basically all I'm saying but these dimwits perceive it as "hatred" and trolling. The guy is the best little system QB of our generation and is getting PAID. But he's absurdly overrated. That's my only point. Yet his worshipers want to put him in the GOAT discussion. It's beyond ridiculous. :rolleyes2:

He's top 4 presently but never in convo for GOAT mix. He is better than a Favre who played 20 years to set records in everything esp int with only 1 ring. I'm happy for him and esp Saints fans to get a Lombardi after a long time. I suffered through 30 years of Pats sucking to finally winning, so I felt their pain
