Calgarypuck is so effin brutal at times, Flames just got younger and bigger with this trade and there's always the hope that David Jones can re-capture his 27 goal season. Sarich has been done for 3+ years now and I'm not sad to see Tanguay's moping ass sent out of town. Some people think Tanguay is still a 1st or 2nd line player, um, the only reason he played on those lines is because the Flames were/are terrible.

I like the trade from Colorado's perspective. They saved some money. Jones makes 500K per year more than Tanguay. He's very inconsistent. O'Brien has two more years left on his deal than Sarich does. Both make 2M per. Sarich will be off the Avalanche's books after next season. We'll see if Jones can recapture that 27 goal season dash.
