A few thoughts on some of these guys:
Ishikawa is preparing for some more post-season heroics (a three run shot in the 9th to win the game?)

I think its becoming more and more likely that Joe Nathan is a September call up.

Jonah Arenado definitely looks like a poor man's version of his older brother. He hits for a lower average, his power is more doubles than home runs and he makes a lot more errors. Hopefully, he can change all three next year but if he plays at Richmond I won't hold my breath on the offensive numbers.

Jeff Soptic has to have some kind of really good black mail material on the higher ups in the Giants' org. Why else has he lasted so long in San Jose?

Daniel Carbonell - feels like he's Angel Villalona, part 2. The due went from Sacramento to Richmond to San Jose before the season began and has been either injured or relegated to the bench. He's 25 and playing high A ball.
Junior Arias - He actually got to play in AAA when he got activated from the dl but quickly went down to San Jose and then Augusta. Looks like he was signed as filler.
Jake McCasland - I wouldn't quite call him a journeyman but he has been absolutely awful as a reliever up to last year. Obviously the Giants saw something in him and kept him around. I just wonder why it took them 4 years to move him to the starting rotation. He's 24 and dominating low A ball. He needs a bigger challenge.

Yeah, Carbonell is just another Latin prospect gone-wrong for the Giants. They've struck out on just about every major one this century.

What successes have they EVER had?

Sanchez? Meh.

Sosa? Nope.

EA? Jury is still out.

Peter Happy? If he is your champion...

I knew there was a big one I was forgetting.

I mentioned Hactor, but I think Peter Happy qualifies as a bigger success.

Hmmm...

Maybe they just need to stick to 3B and catchers.
