Not saying you were being harsh, but you are being too harsh on Arroyo;s numbers this year. He is doing that in the EL. His numbers are still moderately good while being 3.5 years young for the league. Arroyo is still a stud, and IMHO, has done NOTHING to lose the #1 title. Beede has done fine as well, but the way Bickford has pitched, has wrested the #2 title away from him.

Regardless, I think all 3 are legit blue-chippers.

Agreed re. Arroyo, I just would have liked to see him do more. He is in a real cold streak which is hurting his numbers, he was hovering around .300 not too long ago.

Yeah we have a nice top 3, and a ton of depth. Definitely an under-valued system, trending upwards.

His OPS concerns me a bit, as does his utter lack of power and speed.

But Panik lacked these tools as well, and his power game has blossomed in the Bigs...

Richmond has a real nice looking lineup now:

Duggar-CF
Arroyo-2B
Hinojosa-SS
Shaw-1B
Cole-RF
Ryder Jones-3B
Horan-DH
Arnold-C
Ford-LF

The Richmond team is stacked in general. Coonrod, Beede, Suarez in the rotation. Black, Martinez in the Pen. They should be an interesting team to watch going forward.

Sergio Romo (H, 1) 1.0-3-1-1-0-2. (6.75 ERA) Romo has pitched in 9 games in Sac and SJ, K'ing 16 and BB'ing 1. Sounds like he'll make 1 more appearance before joining SF.

Salem-Keizer (6-8) lost 8-2

Every player had at least one hit, Gio Brusa had 2. 8 singles, 2 doubles (Brusa, Rojas). Yawn. Howard-Brusa-Quinn batting 2-3-4, sweet. Looking forward to Reynolds.

Hard to imagine Crick still with the org next year.

At this point, I would be happy getting a box of Warriors championship tees back in a trade for him.

Looks like the team had Phil McCormick "voluntarily" retire in order to make room for Martinez. I could think of a couple of other pitchers that should have "voluntarily" retired before he did. He was pitching well for them and was decent (in 2016 standards) in Sacramento earlier this year.

Sorry I haven't been pulling Stokes' slack (JK!!) recently, just been really busy with work and these take me 45-1 hour. Maybe I'll get one up tonight, but Nolan just crushed my spirits.

Chris Shaw has been crushing the ball since his promotion. 10-23 with 3 doubles, a triple and 6 RBI coming into today.

Ali Castillo is 11-22 since his promotion.

Bickford went 6 IP, 4 H, 1 ER, 1 BB, 5 K on 88 pitches and he now has a 1.59 ERA in 17 IP allowing only 7 hits, with 24 Ks and 4 BBs since being promoted to San Jose.

Miguel Gomez is batting .362. Still needs to be promoted.

Was in Fresno for the 4th and almost went to the game against Sacramento. Mejia was scheduled to pitch that night. I thought I saw that the RiverCats lost that one 4-1.

I'm still waiting to see him pitch live. He has eluded me, does it again this weekend.

Shaw hit his first AA homerun last night, then hit a walk-off tonight.

Miguel Gomez had another 3-hit night. He's batting .373 now. This stat just blows my mind: Gomez has played in 60 games. In 10 games, Gomez has gone hitless. In 9 games, he has 3+ hits.

I find it interesting that Gomez hasn't been promoted yet. He has nothing to prove at low A ball. Last I saw, the SJ Giants only had 23 players on their roster (2 catchers and 4 infielders).

Man we sure can crank out catchers in this org, can't we?

Buster
Brownie
Sac
Garcia
Gomez.

That's impressive org depth.
