Tyler Rogers gave up 3 runs yesterday.

Can we all agree his career is over now?

There's just no room for Miguel Gomez. He needs Shaw to be promoted. His bat is legit though, absolutely crushing the league.

Also, looks like Sacramento blew another one in the 8th inning.

I mean most of their effective pitchers are currently in the SF Pen, but boy that does not instill confidence.

Don't understand the minor league moves sometimes. Instead of promoting Tyler Rogers to Sacramento, the Giants just signed Matt Reynolds to a minor league deal.

Didn't you see, Rogers just gave up three earned runs the other day. He is ruined. Slippery slope of his career. He's toast.

Tomorrow, I leave for a 17 day vacation to rural Minnesota (but I repeat myself), rural Nebraska (but I repeat myself), and the mountains northwest of Fort Collins, CO. Internet may be sketchy in places. I will check in when I can.

Not all of MN is rural, but outside of the Twin Cities and Duluth, yeah, pretty much.

That's where I'll be. The land of my birth. Doing family things. Sort of a pilgrimage. I actually grew up in St. Anthony in NE Minneapolis. My dad taught at the U of M, and I spent many a day riding my bike to Dinkytown and ice skating and playing hoops at Williams Arena.

I read some time ago that my great-great-great-grandfather was a Lutheran church planter in Minnesota, and now I am a church planter in California. Odd, or maybe not. Since my family of origin was decidedly not religious, though there was debate whether Hubert Humphrey might be the 4th member of the Trinity, lots of stories got glossed over. I hope not to gloss over stories for my kids. Heck, I even told my son once about Gibson's home run in 1988. Come to think of it, the Dogs haven't won anything since my son was born. Good lad.

That Gibby HR is such ancient history, I have grown to actually enjoy it. I love hearing "1988". Heck, I love SAYING "1988"!
