Mejia HAS to get a start or two in SF this season. Dude has earned his cuppo and if he is going to be in the mix for a rotation spot next year, we really should have an idea what he looks like against MLB hitters.

I tend to agree, but let's see how he pitches after the ASB when promoted to Sactown

He did get hit with a 50-day suspension last year, so that may have something to do with it.

Yeah, but he still had amazing stats in his 1/2 year. I'd say that it had a lot more to do with the Giants to sign spare journeyman arms to throw in Fresno 'just in case' (or as projects) : Suarez, Ricky Romero, Vin Mazzaro, Braulio Lara, Duke Welker, Alex Torres.

Back at Raley Field tomorrow night to watch Gregorio for a third time (picked him over Lujan tonight).

Also going to try and line up a profile on Travis Ishikawa, see if I can interview/profile him

Don't think Gregorio reached 94 tonight with his fastball, mostly st around 91-92, hit 93 a few times.

Still missed some bats (5 K's) in four innings, but gave up three walks and two home runs. Needed 82 pitches, 48 strikes, to get through four.

Fell behind too often. Very few first-pitch strikes,

Fresno Grizzlies had six lefties in the lineup tonight. Joan Gregorio vs. LHB: 12-35, .429 OBP
Gregorio faced a left-handed batter 13 times tonight; 4 K's, 3 BB's, 1 HR, three hits.

Not much else to say about this team. It's very, very bad. The bullpen, Susac, not coming through in critical situations. Attendance is crashing hard and fast.

Tzill, earmuffs! What is Susac's deal? Why has he been so slow to retake his spot on the team?

Not that Susac has done anything to push the issue, but I think Brown has TAKEN the job. His D is very good and he has 4 bombs in very limited action.

Why fix what aint broke. And Susac gets every-day action in Sacto.

Any reports on how Susac is looking in the minors? Power? Defense improved? Throwing more accurate? etc.

I havent heard a thing.

Matt?

Out of 20 stolen base attempts, has thrown out five.

My view on his potential has gotten lower since seeing him. He is drawing some walks, but not many loud outs/line drives that make his .239 BA seem like just an unlucky streak.

Has he shown in the past he is better than this? Yes

But haven't seen anything from him at the plate/behind the dish recently that would ever make me think of calling him up. If I needed an emergency catcher for a week, I'd turn to Olivo first
