Brady doesn't care about the MVP. It's all about kicking Goodell off the stage of the Superbowl.

I wish that were true, he would be more likeable

No one cares more his image, legacy and individual awards in the NFL

My thanks and for that I will root for the Broncos this Sunday, with my shirt off even if its 40 degrees. It was disturbing to me and too arousing for Jarntt, so 2 different reasons
Keep your shirt on, wouldn't want Jarntt to get too excited.

3 factors that have to be weighed

- Is there a player (Carr, maybe Ryan today) that is comparable
- How much does missing 25% of a season count against a guy?
- How much does going 3-1 (think we all agree 4-0 if Jimmy doesn't go down) without Brady, get held against him, if at all?
Actually I think the Goodell/Brady issue will have the opposite effect from what the OP is posing. Outside the owners I doubt that there is much positive feelings for Goodell and many voters would be happy to feel like they stuck it to him by voting for Brady

So, you are assuming Goodell is going to "forgive and forget"...remember, Tom Brady took this to court...even Federal court...

Maybe you are correct in the respect that Goodell is a "bigger man" and would be able to shrug this off?

I don't know him...I am judging by how hard he fought to keep Brady out for the "friendly" actions of HIS EQUIPMENT MAMAGERS....

It was actually the NFL that took it to court, not Brady and the NFLPA.

Jesus man. Stop with the semantics. The NFL beat the NFLPA to court. NFLPA tried to file in Minnesota. But the NFL filed in NY first.

Tom Brady's 'Deflategate' appeal rejected by federal court

It's just a fact, and needs to be pointed out when people try and use it against Brady as a negative. The NFL has as much if not more culpability in the whole dibacle.

100% no. The same thing happened with the Ray Rice crap. It became more about how Goodell and the league handled it than the disgusting incident itself.

Women beaters and cheaters will always have the bulk of "culpability"...not those who are forced to react to others' bad decisions.

Except there is no actual evidence any tampering occurred, and the ball PSI's fell exactly within the window of the IGL.

You just won't accept it becasue of your hatred of the Patriots, not because of any type of empirical evidence.

The Pats didn't even lose without him until their second and third string QBs were both hurt. Tommy just isn't that valuable. Some guy off the street could lead them into the playoffs.

Maybe Pats should trade him and Gronk for Kapernick

Nothing to fight, those are the facts of the case.

I forget. What did the NFL have to gain by throwing mud on one of it's most marketable teams and players? How did the league benefit? I'm not good at conspiracy theories.

Pressure from NFL teams. Baltimore being one of whiners.

The Patriots have been the most dominant team in the NFL since the Kraft's bought them in 94'. And not by just a little bit, but by a huge margin. The NFL doesn't want a team to dominate for years on end, but have one team that has found a way to do just that.

The NFL doesn't want a team to suck as bad as the Patriots did for so long either. Do you give the NFL credit for enabling the team's turnaround???
