I suppose the fact that he was getting hit constantly had nothing to do with RG3's poor play, right?

When doesn't RG3 get hit consistently, i mean come on he doesn't have the nickname "RG-Knee" for nothing.

And being hit constantly affects your accuracy. It's not a coincidence he got more and more inaccurate as the game went on.

There is a difference from getting hit as a ball carrier running the football and getting hit in the pocket as a passer. RGIII takes a lot of hits because he takes off running a lot but yesterday it was the number of hits he took in the pocket that were impressive.

yea, first half he didn't have to throw as much as the second half, you're right it's no coincidence. As the deficit gets larger the more the losing team has to throw and that translates to the QB getting hit more.

Even before the huge lead for the Broncos though they were hitting him which is how they got back into the game. When Washington was still winning and even then when they were tied it was some of the big hits on RGIII that caused him to miss some of those deep throws and to also hurry some throws where some guys were actually open but he didn't have the time to find them. All of this was before the Broncos started dominating but it was what caused the Broncos to begin to dominate and force turnovers giving the offense short fields to have to work with.

No point to feed this troll, all he's going to do is point at the first 7 weeks and say "See, you guys suck." We'll see where our defense stands at season end, that's all that matters right? And that will be after the meat of our schedule so you can't say "You haven't played anyone." Until then, I'll enjoy the winning, you can enjoy the Ravens not winning.

Indeed, and this isn't just ANY team, this is the Peyton Manning led Broncos, expectations are very high, am I wrong in assuming anything less than a SB berth will be considered failure? Not only do you have one of the most dynamic GMs in the league, you also have a hard nosed defensive HC. Every team suffers injuries, to say the injuries to YOUR team are more significant than other teams is subjective at the very least, I am pretty sure the Raiders have had as many injuries on the O-line as any team in the league for example, and those injuries are very significant to ME, probably not so much to other fans.

It looked like Shanarat had your number pretty good through 3 quarters, but your team did what good teams do, the brain trust adjusted and turned it around into a HUGE comeback victory with Peyton having his second less than stellar performance.

Had you lost yesterday perceptions could have changed very quickly, but I think there are some weaknesses that Shanny picked up on that you might want to attend to.

There was no deficit for the Redskins until the 4th quarter. And it was only a 10 point deficit halfway through the 4th. The Redskins weren't chucking it around the whole second half. But Denver was hitting RG3 in the pocket a lot the entire game.

I would say defensively they picked up on some things such as jamming our receivers at the line and trying to bring pressure up the middle were some things that frustrated Peyton early. Thankfully this game the Broncos adjusted on some of that compared to the Colts game and started running some crossing patterns and some screen passes to help loosen some of that up. The great thing about Peyton is he learns from his mistakes and doesn't usually make them twice in a row. He had some errant throws and looked a little off yesterday but I think part of that is he is pretty beat up right now. Hopefully the Bye Week helps to heal some of that up and especially helps to heal up the OL and get all the starters finally back for him.

Offensively I don't think the Redskins figured out anything against the Broncos defense. They had one of their worst outings of the season and even said the Broncos played a little differently than they have all year and I think part of that is just having all the pieces back on defense and the Broncos finally being able to play the type of defense that they want in the press man with knowing pressure will get to the quarterback. So far this season the Broncos spent a majority of it in Zone Coverage because they couldn't trust the pass rush to get consistent pressure. Von Miller being back cures quite a bit of that trouble and allows the defense to play more aggressive which like yesterday lead to a lot more turnovers.

Now yes I will agree every team suffers injuries and has to overcome those which in reality the Broncos are 7-1 at this time so I would say they have overcome them quite well. The fact that all but Clady should be back after the Bye now should then hopefully make the Broncos even better than what they have been up to this point.

I can agree with most of that, jamming the receivers and not allowing Peyton to sit back and pick apart the zone coverage would have to be #1 on my defensive strategy. And I also agree that Peyton, like anyone so accomplished at his craft rarely repeats his mistakes, it is one of the things that separate him from the crowd.

Ideally man coverage with pressure would be my preference as well, and against PM it is probably the ONLY effective defense, Miller is a force and I am sure you are happy he is off suspension. The Broncos HAVE managed to deal with their injuries very well, to be sitting at 7-1 is enviable no doubt.

My guess is the Broncos will see quite a bit more of the press man coverage the rest of the season. Against the Colts the Broncos didn't do a good job of calling plays to beat it and the receivers didn't quite know how to handle it. My guess as they see it more and more and the coaches get a better look of what it takes to beat it the Broncos offense will be just fine. Once they switched up some plays yesterday they made the Redskins look like a bunch of middle schoolers on the field so my guess is they have figured out some things to help soften up a defense that tries to do that against us.

The other part of that is I don't know how many teams in the league can play the press man good enough for a full game to actually hold down the Bronco offense. They have now seen it for 3 straight weeks scoring 45, 33, and 35 points in all of those games and in most of those games they have had 3-4 turnovers. IF the Broncos could take care of some of the turnovers issues I have a hard time seeing many defenses hold the Broncos under 30 points this season. We shall see. Can't wait for that week 17 match up to get another look at Pryor. Very impressed with his development and leadership on that team.

right history is irrelevant....got it, continue to plug your ears, and say "we shall see", because doing that makes a conversation great.
You seem very defensive. Is that because the ravens are doing so badly ?
