McCoy was not the perfect back for the zone blocking scheme of the Eagles, because he was slow to hit holes, did way too much dancing.

Agreed, though he was still quite effective, just because of his great athletic ability. I do think that Murray is the better fit, though. Same with Bradford over Foles.

Maxwell is overpaid and will be exposed without Thomas and Co. as well, and while Nate Allen wasn't a good safety per say, now they have a hole there too. There are always additions and subtractions in the offseason and you dont win games in the offseason. You won't know exactly what teams have and how it plays out until the product is on the field and playing in their new scheme

Is this contract a mistake? I suspect yes. But it's fun to stick it to Dallas. Their best back is now Joseph Randle, a shoplifter of underwear who reportedly threatens his baby momma with violence.

In other words, look for Dallas to address this position in the draft. That may turn out to be a very wise move for them, but it creates a question mark for a veteran team that is shooting for a win in the next three years and had a run-based offense.

If the Cowboys can draft Gordon the offense won't skip a beat.

Huh? He led the NFL in rushing in Chip's first year, rushing for over 1600 yds, then followed it up with another 1300 yds. You expecting a 2000 yd + rusher or something?
