Made this for anyone who wants to post or talk about the recent events in Dallas and keep it separate from baseball

I know some people are coming to the game thread to get away from all the news coming out of Dallas, and this is probably the best compromise

Fuck...that Instagram post from Joey choked me up...It's easy to ignore things that happen in far off places, but seeing the raw human side of it up close like that just shows how senseless an act like that was. Patrick and his fallen colleagues did not deserve anything like this for doing their jobs.

Fuck any politician that tries to profit from these murders. I hope anyone that does is never elected to any publicly held office again.

I wasn't going to get involved but after that picture I figured it would be very difficult to keep baseball and the shootings as separate as possible

This way if you wanna talk about the politics of it all and the social issues surrounding it, then you have a platform

And the guys that just want to talk baseball have their platform

I've heard that the DPD will refuse any requests for photo opps with any candidates, the truth in this remains to be seen, but i think it's a good policy at this point

Now they're reporting that no shots were fired and that some lady posing as a DPD officer hacked into the radio frequency of the DPD and called in a fake suspicious person report to dispatch. The whole thing was a hoax.
