It is a good thing or this off season would have been a disaster. Lose Carter, Dalembert. Calderon, Larkin along with 2 draft picks and pick up an older and chance of injury Chandler and an unmotivated Felton.

Apparently Richard Jefferson still plays in the NBA, and the Mavs signed him. Marion must be gone with Jefferson and Parsons around right?

Yes. I think Marion would have been the absolute last resort. His defense isn't very good anymore and that's where his value lies. Most of it anyways.

I really think Mo Williams will be next to sign.

Mavs pick up Greg Smith PF/C from Chicago for nothing and have agreed to a sign-and-trade of DeJuan Blair to the Wizards

No mention of what was received in return for Blair?

no it looks like we get little in return.we would like to keep him at the minimum but he wants more so as a favor we sign him at a number higher than minimum and give him to Washington

Someone to watch out for: Eric Griffin. I really like what I saw in the summer league game. This kid is long and very athletic. Already posterized someone.

Ledo might just end up being a stud. He looks much better than last year. His ball handling is much better.

Looking forward to a revamped Mavs team and the Stars. AAC might be fun again!!

If you guys want to see him look for the Mavs/TOR game on NBA TV. They usually show replays for another day or so.

I'd still like a move on ed Davis rather than mo Williams, we need big men, bc you have to count on Chandler and Wright missing a few games

Sarge will be back on a minimum deal I bet. I know he's nothing to get too excited about, but he looks much bigger.

That's a nothing move, it's just a body, Davis is actually a solid player, mo Williams is overrated always has been

The mavericks are trying hard to turn Crowder and Bernard James into quality players. I think it's because Nelson and Cuban are sick of hearing people make fun of their drafting skills. I don't think it will work tho....

Crowder has some potential as a 3 and D player, he just needs to fine tune the rest of his game, especially his ball handling

James is a big man body, 3rd center type, never more, but it's good to root for him, always liked him

He doesn't have many more chances to make money playing basketball, he might consider going overseas for a bigger payday

Mo off the bench for a veterans minimum isn't overrated though.

They play crowder too much.... He has no shot, so it feels like there is only 4 guys on the floor when the mavericks have the ball. I think the mavericks usually give him 20 minutes a game when he should be getting only 10.

"Honestly, I was offended by the whole process," Parsons told Yahoo! Sports on Monday. "They publicly said that they were going out looking for a third star when I thought they had one right in front of them. I guess that's just how they viewed me as a player. I don't think I've scratched the surface of where I can be as a player and I think I'm ready for that role.

Use that to become a better player then. I don't really blame Houston for not matching. Cuban really came up with one of the hardest contracts possible to match on purpose to dissuade Houston from the start. Score one for Cuban there, because he got the player he wanted and helped screw over Houston in the process. He may also end up having his new player extra motivated to show Morey how dumb he was for not matching. I would be a big fan of that one.

This is true, I'm talking about using the 2.7 million dollar exception on him though, think it can be better doesn't elsewhere, we have PGs, and while we need 3pt shooters, those can be found cheaply

If they can convince Williams to take the veterans minimum, then great, no problems with that
