Belichick fucked up big time and didn't throw the challenge flag. That catch was no less two inches away and not a yard and a half.



Blocked punt and that's all Belichick's fault.

If it's a centimeter away the call stands, it only changes if a first down is clearly gained. Otherwise it's a failed challenge.
