I just can't remember a weekend like this that literally lasted from Friday through Sunday night.
Phillies playoff wins, finishing a series, and the Eagles beating Dallas.
The Flyers win on Saturday was just gravy.

Yes and no. Every damn Eagles game this year has looked this way. They run out to a lead in the 2Q. They get the ball to start 2H and sputter. Game gets tighter. Offense closes it out with a double digit play drive leaning on the run for some 7-8 minutes before getting points to close it out. The only angst was in the Eagles not having to do that vs a top defense yet.

They definitely dominated the trenches for most of the game. I guess it's probably been that way all year

That’s been Eagles football since Lurie came. They’re hyper focused on the O and D line. Usually the best units on their teams year in and year out. On that 2nd Q stuff, check this out. Eagles scoring by quarter this year:
1Q - 14 pts
2Q - 112 pts
3Q - 17 pts
4Q - 18 pts

I’ve never seen anything like it. It’s a product of them deferring every game but not taking advantage with the first drive of the 2nd half. It’s crazy.
