Xbox One Getting Twitter, Vine, HBO GO - Forbes
46 New apps for Xbox One - HBO go and Twitter included!
46 new apps have been announced for the Xbox One. Twitter and HBO Go are probably the most anticipated ones, but apps from Comedy Central, Crunchyroll, Major League Gaming and others will also make an appearance. “Twitter experience on Xbox One will be integrated into the TV listings section of OneGuide where you will be able to see the shows that people are tweeting about in real-time. These shows will also be highlighted in a new ‘trending’ section within OneGuide so you know what’s popular right then and there.” – Microsoft.

The free games are a Halo arcade game and Max: The Curse of Brotherhood.

Both games are pretty much what you would expect out of a cell phone game; pretty lame. I'm excited for the HBO GO app and also curious to see what else is going to be included in that list of 46 new apps.

Just got the family an XBox One with Kinnect for X-Mas. Came with AC Unity, Black Flag, some dance game and something else....

Is there any other stuff pre-loaded on there for the kinnect? Like the Wii had golf, bowling, etc.

I know at one point they had Powerstar golf for free but if you wanted all of the features you had to buy the extra content. I'm sure whatever EA is going to call the new Tiger Woods series can be played with the Kinect since the older versions with the 360 could. There is a really barebones golf game called The Golf Club where I'm pretty sure you can use the Kinect too but it's not pre-loaded (I think it's about $30-$35).

You can probably get the Kinect Sports Rivals demo for free. That should be a good variety of Kinect games if you buy it.

Most games that were out at launch use the Kinect for certain things and that kind of stuff will probably only be integrated into the games more once the developers are used to the system features. In FIFA you can change formations and strategies, in NBA2K14 you can change defensive and offensive schemes (they even called technicals if it thought you were swearing), Madden is the same way, etc. Sometimes it is useful and sometimes it's an annoyance when a cough is interpreted as some sort of command.

I've always found the Kinect to be a lot more useful while watching videos than playing video games.

Xbox Fitness is free - I believe. Powerstar Golf is still free...but the "full" game requires a purchase. They currently have Worms Battlegrounds free for download. (games with gold) As well as a few others.

You can purchase EA Access and have access to 6 games for $5/mo or $30 year. But once you end the subscription, you lose access to the games.

Volgar The Viking is free too and it's actually a really good game. It's basically like an old school side scroller but the difficult part is there are no checkpoints in each level. If you die you're back at the very beginning.

Just remember to jump forward past the levels you have already beaten you have to walk left at the home screen when you hear "rise warrior" then proceed to go left at the beginning of each one until you get to the one you most recently left off at.

They need to finally bring the xfinity app to Xbox one. They have it for 360, so I don't get what's stopping them.
