If you haven't seen it he was caught on camera being an asshole threatening security at a concert.

Does that go down as a conduct violation? (Don't think it does) But if so Philly just got a second receiver whammy

Absolutely it's a conduct violation. Like it or not, professional athletes are the face of the organization they work for in addition to the NFL as a whole. I work in a field--unrelated to athletics--where my behavior outside of the workplace can result in my firing, suspension, etc. I have no problem with it.

I saw where Marcus Vick tweeted a $1000 bounty on Cooper. Considering who his brother is, I figured he might promote forgiveness lol. Cooper made a stupid mistake, and theres no excuse for that. To his credit, he said he would accept whatever punishment came without appeal.

Man I don't wanna make this one of those debates, but So many people regardless of racial background use the N-word like it's an every day conversation word. If we won't that word to be eliminated from use lets start by stop putting it in every rap song lyrics and make every one accountable. I don't even think the dude he threatened was black. I think the camera man was white. Classic Witch Hunt.

Marcus has always been a POS living off his brother's shadow. Hated his ass when he played for Va Tech.

The camera man was black, at least that's what Cooper said during the ESPN video. I agree with some of what you said, to a degree, but Cooper has no one to blame but himself. In todays you tube world, where everyone has a video camera, if you are a celebrity, you have to know anything you say or do is going viral. Johnny Football, same thing, really hasn't done anything most of us didn't do at that age, we just never won a Heisman

Could be a bountygate for the Eagles lol. If Marcus ever pays off that Bounty, theres no doubt he got the grand from Michael, because Marcus doesn't have a pot to piss in unless Michael bought it

I would hardly call this a witch hunt.....I think Cooper came out and did the absolutely right thing. He was obviously very upset about what he said and took full responsibility. I suspect that most of his black teammates, and other black football players, will accept his apology and move on.

Hell he wouldhave never graduated high school or went to college if he hadn't been Mike's brother. He's dumb as a fucking rock. And if Vick wasn't his last name he would have pulled prison time SEVERAL TIMES.

Just off the top of my head.... screwing a 15 year old while he was 20-21 .... Pulled a gun on a group of kids about the same age difference .... DUI
Stomped Dumervil's leg .....
That's just while he was at Va Tech
Then when he knew college was over tried to turn pro. To my knowledge never had ANY JOB of any kind.

If the players are so offended by the word, they should not say it themselves, even if it is to a friend. If the word is that offensive and they are hurt by it's true meaning, they shouldn't say it regardless the context.

I agree but the detractors will talk about the "a" and the "er" at the end of the word and act as if that makes it different. It doesn't make it different, period.

Stop using the word that offends you, idiots.

yep exactly, doesn't matter what form you use, its a negative word. And those that are truly offended by it shouldn't use it at all. Otherwise you're sort of a hypocrite.

Neither are offensive.

But yes, I agree.

In the black community there is a completely different meaning from the term ****a and the racial slur ****er, and Cooper new exactly what he meant around his fellow rednecks...
