Barring any possible trades, 2024 would be year 4 of his rookie contract. So the Bears could bring him back for year 4.Fields, who is most likely done in Chi anyway
Awful quiet in here, for a Victory Monday?

Can't quite say shocked, but I gotta admit prior to the game I pretty much had it chalked off as an L. Granted, we hardly faced a powerhouse in the Raiders, but we nonetheless have to give credit where credit is due. Overall it was a solid gameplan put together by the coaching staff on both sides of the ball. And while I don't want to get overconfident about our defense just yet, they do seem to be putting it together. Granted a really strong offensive opponent might still have their way with our D, but so far I'm impressed how they've been playing of late.It is.....maybe we are all still in shock....
You obviously aren't aware of the new football math. Losing = winning. You don't get that?Don't worry...Dipsh*t will be along any minute now to say how stupid it is we won...

No argument on what you said, but I will throw a tiny caveat out there. Yes, Bagent's numbers were hardly earth moving yesterday, but considering he was on as tight a leash as I've seen since Kyle Orton's rookie season, I want to take somewhat of a wait-n-see attitude. Little doubt that if we're even to stand a ghost of a chance against the Chargers Sunday night, Getsy must open the playbook up for Tyson. He's got to allow the kid to stretch the field. Let's see how that works out. What we've seen the past few weeks gives hope that if we find some more pass rush our defense can be what we hope it would be.
That said, as always, our passing game sucks ass.
As if SOMEHOW - ONE DAY... this will magically all come together.
Holy SHIT, this guy sucks. He is AWFUL. AWFUL!
I am so done of LOSING football game after FOOTBALL game. HOW MANY FOOTBALL GAMES DO WE HAVE TO FUCKING LOSE!?
Watching this DIP SHIT, IDIOT, ASSHOLE try to figure it out... sitting there, holding the ball, taking hits, with his baseball wind-up in the pocket, and WE ALL sit around going "LA - DEE - FUCKIN DAH! IF HE JUST HAD A LINE OR A RECEIVER! OR MAYBE A GIRLFRIEND THAT WOULD BLOW HIM EVERY TUESDAY!?"
I gotta tell you. I think he's worse than ANYTHING we've ever, EVER seen. But no one can realize it because "Ooh! The fun highlights and he's an athlete! Look at those tools!" STOP. He is an ABYSMAL QB. And our record reflects that when he plays for us.
Oh my god... this is so easy. HE PLAYS - WE FUCKING LOSE. ALWAYS.
If you still support Fields - I honestly question your mental capacity as a human being. I really have something against you, personally. Fuck you. FUCK HIM. FUCK THIS.

Ummm... I know we're not used to this, but the Bears had a 2 score lead because the run game was solid. No need to pass really with a lead.Bagent's numbers were hardly earth moving yesterday, but considering he was on as tight a leash
No argument there. That was the best gameplan Getsy put together since he joined the Bears as the OC. I'm hoping he adjusts accordingly against the Chargers, who I assume will adopt a more aggressive scheme than the one the Raiders played.Ummm... It can be both, IR is no longer season ending, you can return to practice after 4 weeks. Once you are back on practice you have I think 2 weeks to prove you are healthy enough, if not then it becomes season long.Found this on Yardbarker:
Bears QB Justin Fields reportedly has return date in mind
Chicago Bears starting quarterback Justin Fields seems on track to miss a second consecutive game because of a dislocated right thumb but intends to return to the lineup sooner rather than later.www.yardbarker.com
"Fields' availability hinges on his ability to grip and throw a football, which could take time," Fowler explained. "But he's been diligent in his rehab and game prep and hopes to avoid injured reserve."
Kinda carries a contradictory ring to it. He'd like to be ready by Week 9, yet also "hopes to avoid injured reserve." Not sure this is an either/or situation here.
