I think use of the word is ignorant and reprehensible but to punish an entire race in a country of immigrants for what happened to ancestors by other people's ancestors that happen to look like them is pretty ignorant as well.

Didnt Kerry Collins say something about 15 yrs ago to Mushin Mohammed?? It may have not been that word , I cant remember. It is obviously not a word that should be said in any instance IMO. I have a 9 and 10 yr old sons. We live in the Nashville area, so we associate with all races. My kids have said every cuss word from hell to the F word, but that word has never come from their mouths. The reason why- Im not sure they have ever heard it. Its just not used as much these days. Now Im definitely not boasting about my kids profanity problems, but like I said that word hasnt slipped. To me that word is on a very different level RIGHT NOW than any other word. In 20 yrs maybe sooner, the words for homo sexuals will probably be close to that level. Just my opinion.

It aint the word, its the context its used in. And Coopers context was wrong period. You cant outlaw a word. The word BOY can be used in a derogatory manor. Cooper isnt being punished for the words that come out of his mouth, more so the context he put them in.

I agree 100% ... I just mentioned that cause people were throwing up IF it was offensive or not.

It's the context you say it in. Two friends calling each other ****a or dumb country rednecks isn't offense.... it goes along with calling each other dumbass or motherfucker.

Walk up to someone you dont know and say it you better expect a fight.... Matter of fact I dont know anyone that would say it to a stranger unless they were trying to provoke a reaction.

They heard it through the closed door and windows. knocked on door to make sure everything was ok .

LOL.....two of my son's won't watch a Cowboy game with me and my youngest only does for the free beer. But when I get my hand on some tickets then all three become my best friend.

never thought the N word, much less said it. My family has been sports, sports and more sports. Many years of coaching by my Dad and now middle son. I've coached kids baseball for 28 years and pee wee football for 19 years. I like to think we don't see color and being part of a team with all pulling together helped greatly.

the eagles wide may of been in sports a long time but he didn't get from sports what I thing most do when being part of a team. Sports involvement is the greatest teacher of life, but some still don't get it.
