Jimmy Howard won his 20th game of the season for Detroit on Monday, making him the first NHL goaltender to reach that milestone this season, and the second straight season in which he was the first to 20. Howard is the first goaltender to be the first to 20 wins in consecutive seasons since Ken Dryden did it for Montreal in 1971-72 and 1972-73. In the NHL's expansion era only two other Red Wings goaltenders have been the first to 20 wins in a season: Chris Osgood in 1995-96 and Tim Cheveldae in 1991-92.
