Surrey is much much less of a shitstorm than it was ... interior health might be going into a world of hurt

That's a good question - I think they're just trying to inform people about possible exposure and to urge them to get a COVID test to limit the spread, but it's unclear whether or not any follow-up is occurring.

there is no follow-up.
the airlines or health authority will not even contact you if you are on one of the affected flights.
It's entirely up to the passenger to check BC Health's website to see if their flight was listed.

The rub is the airlines since day zero arent providing flight manifests showing names of travellers who were on the flights. So these public notifications are how the cdcs are letting people know im sure there’s contract tracing happening after the fact (not in ontario and alberta though... they gave up on that long ago)
