It's hilarious (and sad) watching these Trump sycophants twist themselves into a pretzel trying to defend the president's response to COVID-19.

Meanwhile even the UK, whose leader botched it as bad as Trump at the outset, is considering allowing people to go back to their workplace. They locked it down and paid people to stay home.

Local clothing store is closing up it's retail shop due to the drop in sales. This is the front of their store today.

A Washington Post-ABC News poll released Friday shows 38 percent of Americans approve of Trump’s handling of the outbreak, down from 46 percent in May and 51 percent in March.

Those are god awful crisis numbers when you look back on other similar crises that tend to be unifying events and rallying points for past Presidents.

My question is - who the fuck are this 38%? We have been the worst industrialized nation in the world despite great distance from the outbreak and being one of the least dense large countries in the world. There has been very little action at the federal level, almost no leadership, and a parade of commercials for major corporations in lieu of (1) health care assistance, (2) income assistance, or (3) most importantly, a nationally strategy to move past this crisis. Trump keeps talking about it will go away, let's see churches full of people on Easter, let's see kids in schools in the fall. You have to put in work and have a strategy to get there, you moron.

I did enjoy the moment in the Chris Wallace interview when he looked at his aides early on and said "I was told we had the lowest mortality rate." Like a child who someone has lied to over and over again to keep him placated.

On the day of his resignation, Richard Nixon had a 25% approval rating. So there is always a portion of the populace that just cannot be swayed.

And with the Internet connecting more of these stubborn, fretfully stupid people it stands to reason that the percentage of blind followers will go up. People don't sit alone any more wondering if their fringe ideas are correct. They find people who share the beliefs so they believe they must be right.

they're still wrong.
