You sound like the type of player who would be constantly ejected from games because you can't adapt.

He reads like somebody that has never played. Hitting with the crown of your helmet leaves you susceptible to head and neck injuries. You're putting too much force onto the neck area, and concussions are very much an occurence when you do.

This is probably a fair assessment.

As far as the two "controversial" calls. I think the targeting call was the correct call, the call itself sucks because it wasn't intentional, but was correct by the letter of the law. The fumble/catch I thought was a fumble, but idk what the fuck constitutes a catch so I'll sit that one out.
I think both were wrong, but worse was the fumble reversal. Shoulsn't matter what it looks like in real time as opposed to slow mo. Real time and slow mo the guy took 3 steps after catching it.

Because the call went against OSU, therefore it was a bad call according to @Across The Field
If Simmons had hit Fields in that exact scenario, I would've thought "Shit that was a really good play". I actually jokingly said they'd call targeting before they actually did it. This could've been San Jose St. vs. UMass and I would call it bullshit.

As long as OSU fans don't wish cancer upon someone and their children, they'll handle a tough loss better than Michigan fans.

Bottom line is OSU should have won this game on the red zone appearances alone.

Go back and read where it says “just about everyone”. You need a fucking Kleenex cuz the big 10 rep lost? Holy shit man.. Clemson has a goose egg until late Q2. Did absolutely nothing

They had 0 because the set up tackling dummies until there were 4 minutes left? Are you really this slow?

I don't give a fuck about OSU, unlike an FSU fan dangling from Clemson's nuts. All I'm saying is it was a great game and both teams competed from start to finish. Both teams deserve credit for a great game. That's it, they both deserve props for some fantastic entertainment and I don't see the need to diminish one or the other, unlike you. Do you understand that, or should I type slower?

And as for the catch or fumble call, watching it in full speed, it was clearly a drop.

I don’t see why so many people are angry at the ref. After the replay I don’t see why all the outrage.
Because by rule replay only gets involved with targeting if they can CONFIRM every aspect. The defender wrapped up with no launch.

How was that clearly a drop? He possessed it with two hands, never once bobbled it, and took 3-4 steps. Honestly, what even constitutes a catch if that's not it?

Again, the head trauma you suffered from your poor tackling technique is affecting your judgment. Please seek treatment immediately.

I thing it's only natural that when you get hit or see that you're about to, you lower your head. The only thing I would change, is that if both players lower their heads and the tackler doesn't vault himself leading with his head, then it's not targeting.

they should just start calling an old penalty. Call it spearing, which is leading with the crown of your helmet. The rule has been I. The books for decades, just call it and give the 15 yards

He had the ball for like 1/4 of a second, IMO, that doesn't constitute possession. Don't get taken in by super slow motion replays.

Bingo.

It's fucking football. Hard hits happen. There are dirty plays like the OU DB against LSU that were clearly targeting, but this was not, and it dramatically changed the outcome of the game.
