Funny I almost feel the opposite. I have a feeling putting Nash on the block was a way to get GMs talking to the Blue Jackets so they could try and unload Carter. I hope you're wrong because I'd rather not face Nash. I think this is a trade where both teams win though. Kings needed a top 6 forward and Blue Jackets got a decent return.

Decent trade for the Kings..maybe getting Carter there will help Mike Richards turn it around too.

yeah its a good trade for both teams i do think the jackets got the better end of it. johnson is easily a top 2 d man on most teams. i think that since they are willing to stick to their guns if the rangers do want nash they will have to pay dearly for him. i can see the panic button being pressed if the lead is trimmed to 4 come monday.

i'm not so sure nash would help them all that much. i think just like the kovalchuk trade it will take some getting use to. plus msg has a habit of turning studs into duds.

I know all of the rags fans at work want nothing to do with Nash. After seeing what Columbus got for Carter I would guess they want even less to do with him.I could see Nash costing any team looking A solid player top tier prospects as well as a high end draft pick as well as chemistry. But at the same time I have seen stranger things

I guess since Kovy was a UFA the Thrashers' asking price was lower, but look what we had to give up for him, vs what we would potentially have to give up to get Nash.

Zajac/Clarkson
Larsson

That's way, way steeper of a price than what we paid for Ilya.

Well, that's because Lou is a great GM and he knows what he's doing.

I wouldn't give Johnson straight up for Carter so I think CBJ hosed LA on this deal and I'm thinking a NYR package would have to be something like Dubinsky and Del Zotto or Staal plus a prospect and a 1st for Nash at least

Kovy>Nash every minute, of every hour, of every day, of every week, month, year, century, millennia, wtf ever. Nash is not worth the types CBS is reportedly demanding and teams are reportedly willing to offer.

Ps, we very rarely talk about it, but in hindsight we trade raped atl for kovy. Oduya is the only asset even worth discussing
