I meant going forward... You don't get Boozer and not play him, but he won't sign a minimum deal with the Lakers after this year... And you don't draft Randle #7 and not expect him to start by his 2nd year... Kelly will become his back up... I feel they should begin that process sooner rather than later but there are benefits to either side... I get that Mitch likes to let his rookies start slow, it worked for Bryant and Bynum... But IMO this is a different type of situation and he is more physically ready than they were...

Great points, wlk3! And I agree. If we can get Randle quality minutes and start Boozer(with some quality minutes also), win-win. I just like the veteran presence there for JRan!

Glad you're coming around........some! :yahoo:

I agree. Randle is NBA ready. He better be getting significant minutes regardless of starting or not.

I agree and actually enjoy her posts. Admittedly, I didn't realize Mecca was female until just recently.

If she's objective enough on the Laker boards, who cares if she's a Clipper fan.

eh, the Clippers still blow, but she seems like she's alright...

pass...

we don't need Bustley...

Meh, he's young and has some talent. The roster is pretty well set. If the Lakers wanted to take a flyer on someone who's looking to save their career, there are worse guys than Beasley.

To my knowledge, the Lakers haven't expressed any interest, so probably a moot point anyway.

He might not be the answer, but neither is the vast majority of your roster.
Not sure what your goals are for the season in your mind,
but your lotto bound again.
At least Beasley is young, energetic and can score with the ball aka fun to watch.
Please don't bring up his D, because he would be an above average defender on your roster as is.

wonder if they'll look to add another SF, ie Marion?? That seems to be where they lack depth

Roster is full of chuckers, adding him would be redundant.

Kobe, chucker and scorer.

Young, ditto.

Adding Beasley makes no sense.

More upside to Beasley over Young IMO.
I could debate taking Beasley over Young even up, let alone get him for the minimum vs paying the other 5+M.

Beasley was a model citizen here last year, and was very efficient when he played.
Like I've said before, he didn't lose his minutes because he was ineffective.
He lost his minutes because Oden was ineffective.

I think he could be a guy you end up giving a nice little contract too next year....for what you got him for i think he is a steal- too bad he plays the same spot as Randle...and Boozer....

you guys REALLY need a SF bad...and a perimeter defender
