Try watching the early 90’s all star game and then go watch this years. Go ahead and try to argue that those 2 games compare in defensive effort.

No 3 point line is a HUGE difference whether you believe or not. It was competitive in spurts, it was just years ago too. Yes it is watered down but not to the extent you suggest bc they scored less points.

I mean I like the logic to make it more competitive but the AS game has never been competitive other than a tight game in the final minutes. Now in today's league they care even less about it and don't want to risk injury. I highly doubt guys will want to compete in a meaningless game to prove something. Their goal of winning a championship is the only real prize.
