This is the answer.
Want to fix the all star game?
$500,000 bonus to every player on the winning roster.
$0 for the losers.
Got to give them something to play for.
Raise the rim to 12'.
Money hungry whoresSounds suspiciously like the in season tourney that so many have dumped on...
Or make a 4 point line and 5 points for half court...ohh wait, we are living this already except everything is worth 3Remove the 3 point line
Would watch every second of every game.
The arena would be electric. They would get so many views it would be crazy.Would watch every second of every game.
Thanks for your input @Nordan23Yeah play defense atleast somewhat. Back in the Nordan days they actually tried a descent amount. Its a joke now
No, that won't work. If you want to fix the all star game, you have to find a way to emphasize/glorify defense, and officiate the game by the rules. 400 points in regulation and only 5 foul shots? That's a joke. What did John Daly do when the original Dream Team wasn’t playing up to his standards? He brought in a select team to challenge them and get after it.
Same principle applies here. You replace the rising stars game with a “Next 24”. They are the AS snubs and the next best players by conference. 24 players, 12 each conference.
On Friday night you have a bracket style game. Next 24 East vs East AS, Next 24 West vs West AS. Shorten the Friday night game to first team to 75 wins. Winners play on Sunday.
The next 24 are gonna get after it to show they deserve to be there or put the AS on notice. The AS teams won’t want to lose. Sunday could potentially still be bad if both AS teams make it but at least they might have some competitive juices flowing. And if a next 24 makes it against the AS team in a real game Sunday game, that would be fireworks.

Or maybe they just didn’t shoot 3s?Yeah play defense atleast somewhat. Back in the Nordan days they actually tried a descent amount. Its a joke now
That has nothing to do with it. Lol. Maybe a slight bit but it’s mostly the lack of trying at all.Or maybe they just didn’t shoot 3s?

Winning team earns their conference home court advantage for the Finals. Baseball did this for a few years and then cancelled it, but I liked it and thought it worked.
