Do you know little defense you have to play to allow 150+ points when the opponent only attempted 20 threes? LOL but yeah let's keep acting like the all star games back in the days were soooo competitive and they played real defense

Yeah im sure the all star game in the 90's never brok 140 or 150
Try watching the early 90’s all star game and then go watch this years. Go ahead and try to argue that those 2 games compare in defensive effort.

Winning team earns their conference home court advantage for the Finals. Baseball did this for a few years and then cancelled it, but I liked it and thought it worked.

If it worked, they wouldn't have stopped doing it.

It didn't work. We don't need to have a player on a 27-55 team deciding who gets HCA

Yep, not to mention it devalued having the better regular season record. The idea that a team busts their ass all season to have a good enough record to have home field advantage only to lose it in the World Series because a team that the majority of your teams players weren't on, lost a meaningless game was one of the dumbest ideas ever.

And also what people fail to mention with this dumb idea is one of the main reasons MLB tried this out was because you didn't play all the teams in the other league. This isn't a problem in the NBA

It is still an imbalanced schedule.

So the same argument applies.

The All Star games in the 90s blew.
The All Star games now blow.
All Star games suck by their very nature because people just don’t care. It’s shooting on air.

That’s like saying you’d rather have explosive and unpredictable diarrhea than getting kicked directly in the balls.

To be fair the guys actually defended each other back then, I could score 20-30 in todays all star game. That says alot

No, it says nobody plays defense and just lets guys shoot from anywhere.
It's so dumb how you think that all star game was how the NBA looks for real

Watch any good regular season matchup. They play defense. Certainly better than college kids do.

No they didn’t. You’re just waxing poetically about a bygone era like an old person.

I mean instead of going here how about:
“Back in my day, the Niners didn’t shit the bed all the time. Back in my day, the Niners used to actually win Super Bowls.”

Just cancel it. No voting, no bonuses, no nothing. And start a social media campaign saying " If you don't give a shit, we don't give a shit".

I’ve never known a business to turn down money. For whatever reason, people still watch. I don’t get it but it posted a big number for viewers on Sunday night.
