Game Thread: Canucks host the Canadiens

John Shorthouse is very good on the play-by-play, but John Garrett is something else (holy homer, Batman).

He doesn't hide that nor ever has lol

I've noticed that Shorthouse even interjects phrases such as "Canucks player might have got away with a hook there" to counteract the Garrett homerism (lol)

this was a national game last night too right ? They brought in Jason York between the benches to try and even it out but yah ... he probably shouldnt be doing national games

and sure hes a homer but Ill always be a Garrett fan after he called Richard Brodeur "a real Dick" and signed an autograph for me when i was a kid

I think it went straight in the trash frankly but the story was better than the actual autograph at the time

yah i thought for sure there was gonna be an even up call


maybe the refs were waiting for Dutch Gretzky to drop his stick or point out there was a penalty on the play

i only agree with one. but like I said the refs were freaking atrocious the whole night.
