You're RIGHT. It isn't debatable. Sherman clearly touches the ball before he makes contact with Carpenter. From Sherman's POV if he doesn't hear the whistle then he wants to make sure the kick isn't made since he knows he's offsides.

Buffalo had that field goal. If called correctly either by way of roughing the kicker or by not calling delay of game, Buffalo only would have been down 3. They obviously would have just kicked the field goal at the end of the game if that had been the case. Overtime.

Because the 2nd half would have played out the exact same way. Absurd assumption.
