This is really hard to figure out but just incredible. I mean, the guy at the very least was decent pre-injury. was it the injury and never recovering? Did he just forget how to play? His actions don't make him out to be a guy who doesn't care.

Maybe shoulder strength, dude i dont know. To become THIS bad is extremely surprising.

I could see it had last season never happened.....but really was at worse decent last year. Hell, he was even playing OK last half vs. Philly and first half Sunday to be fair. Other than few if any passes downfield.

Thats the point though, when you check down every play your comp pct and traditional qb rating looks fine. But he wasnt moving the ball.

I cant think of a more drastic example of a qb playing like this that wasnt a rookie or raw qb.

I will say though, firing Alex Van Pelt was a TERRIBLE decision.

Firing an OC that does not call plays was terrible? Isn't he the OC for NE who is not exactly lighting it up on O? Unless you think terrible simp[ly because they brought in Dorsey and/or changed the O for Watson?

You know ....Watson being back next year at QB might be the best scenario the browns could have ever imagined. Pretty much guarantees a number 1 overall pick in 2026 for the rights to a cat named Manning.
