Someone talk me off the edge... im starting to be okay with Hackenberg at 31... wtf lol

Take the leap my friend! I have. I see the talent and I like the idea that he gets to sit for a year learning the system and fixing his mechanics while we still then have 4 more years of a cheap contract to see what he has! 4 more years! 4 more years! Sounds like a presidential election.

Tools + smarts + flashes of brilliance + everything going wrong around him (coaching/scheme/talent) shows me that if this kid is able to land on a team that will be patient and work with him, he could be the best qb in this draft.

Also can someone explain to me the Scooby Wright love? I get it. He had a lot of tackles, but I see a guy who was a product of that funky defensive system that Arizona ran with very limited physical upside. We are looking for sideline to sideline cover guys at ILB, not pure in the box run stuffers.

He won awards so fans love him. :)

He is an avearage prospect with injury concerns. Att he end of the day a guy like he or Wisconsin LB Joe Schobert are just football players not athletes and you like the athletes. :)...

But, some people think he is the steal of the draft which I don't believe that to be the case.

Denver is targeting late round backs with interest in Peyton Barber (called this a while ago @Draft Crazy)

Traits over stats!

It all comes down to one thing!

i don't JUST like the athletes though, I am not al davis over here haha but you need to see athletic traits and technique. Instincts are also helpful, but when the game gets faster and nfl players are bigger and stronger, you gotta have some athletic upside.

LOL --- I was just razzin ya. You and your damn spider charts. :pound:

they are beautiful! and most of the time, if a guy shows elite all around ability, he is going to be pretty special! Also love Sparq! I follow the seahawks draft blog (pry the best on the internet) and they really turned me onto advanced stats for prospects.

Throw Booker and Carroo in there and we good. ;)

Based on need and value/draft position I like that. Little nervous about Marshall in rd 5 though. Feel their may be safer quality RB's there. Marshall's knee still concerns me but I was shocked he ran his 40 times as well as he did, a sign that mayber UGA was taking it slow with him thinking about his career in the NFL, but guy was so limited thelast two yearsafter his injury.

I'm actually not sure...

I have some statistical analysis background being an epidemiologist and I have been considering coming up with a model to give ranking to prospects... totally going to take nerding out to the draft to an entire different level.

How can you make this better? Replace the first three picks, they will all be gone when it's our turn at those slots. ;)

LOL - I know right?

I like Hack's upside much better then those guys,,, his lack of development concerns me, but get him in the right situation and on the bench for a season and you could have a BOOM. He is a total boom or bust QB. I thought at best those other guys were average. Of all those guys listed and Blaine Gabbert they did nothing for me, but EJ Manuel in round 1 was the craziest, IMO.

I think Denver would be an ideal situation for Hack. Hack has the tools of a top overall pick. His Freshmen year many thought he'd be a future #1 overall like UCLA QB Josh Rosen and Miami QB Brad Kaaya are looked at right now.
