Haha yeah I saw he had a wardrobe malfunction. Just think what his 40 time could be if that didn't happen. I've watched a few of his games and I just love the fight in the kid. I saw him only take a few plays off in about a 3-game span which for a guy his size is pretty impressive. Like I said really raw skills. Has no clue how to use his hands so probably not a ton of production year 1 but year 2 and on I think he could become a great player.

Not sure we draft a DT in round one with the quality of DT throughout the draft.

Not sure that combine moved him up in the draft but I heard he's gotten real popular with the ladies since. :)

But it all depends on how much you value a player too. Not just the position strength.

If you cluster a bunch of DT's together of course wait on it a bit, but if you value well over another and it is a position of need a team is gonna jump on it.

We need pass Rush in the worst way if Jackson leaves that can set a corner ... this D is about penetrating on every play .. It work for the Giants it worked for us against NE...

Like it or not they are not going away ..

They can mock all they want. Wait and see the change in mocks after FA and then you'll see more legit attempts anyway.

I think we have all been following the NFL long enough to know that a pass rush is very important.

Jihad Ward in round 3 would be theft.

That is what I was thinking. I didn't like the 1st 2 rounds of that draft as there are guys at those positions that I think would be better options but that 3rd round steal would almost make it worth it.

Well then stop with the 335 DT's ...

I view looking at the NT position as a decent idea. They could easily look to ask Sly to lose a few lbs. and try to move outside on a regular basis. He was known in college for his penetrating abilities and he showed some of that this year. He won't be Malik level but he would be I think a pretty good option at DE.

Well steop with the drama queen comments. :)

The need for a pass rush and how important it is doesn't mean we are or need to take one in round 1 EVERY single season.

How many times do I have to stress to you that teams draft on value???

Right. If you don`t see the guy you coveted in rd 1 at a certain position, you don`t reach for a guy just to fill that need. You look at your "draft" depth chart and draft the next value player regardless of position on your chart. IMO anyway.:)

I somewhat agree. I wouldn't say you always go regardless of position. They asked an ex-GM about the whole BPA idea and he said something along the lines of well teams will say that but it always seems like they still draft a player that is ranked high at a position of need. So to me it is more you have say 4-5 positions you know you need either a starter caliber or quality depth player and you look at the players available at those positions. Like right now for me I can't see the Broncos going Corner or WR even if that is best player available in this upcoming draft.

Yeah regardless probably wouldn't be the word I would use there, but the idea Randy was talking about is correct.

Don't reach for a LB who you ranked quite a bit below a pass rusher, etc just because you have a dire need there, but if it is pretty equal at a dire need then the need could trump the value if it close enough. Just depends on the amount of value you have on a player, etc.

I shouldn`t of said "regarless of position Cd. I don`t think Denver would have a wr or corner on their draft list at least not for a couple rds. More than likely if they miss on their 31 guy, it isn`t one of those positions next in line.
