Braves 2015 season thread

We're sending Alex Wood, Jim Johnson, Luis Avilan and possibly Jose Pereza to the Dodgers.

We're getting Hector Olivera, A MLB reliever, a minor league arm, The Marlins' competitive balance pick and Michael Morse.

Honestly, if Peraza is involved, without knowing the names we're getting, I'm a bit underwhelmed.

And we've added a lot of pitching prospects, but we could be trading our best position player prospect? I mean, pitching is great, but we're gonna need to be able to hit.

Yeah, we're getting Paco Rodriguez and some minor league dud from the Dodgers.

We give up our top prospect and one of our best pitchers and our two best bullpen arms and get what amounts to nothing in return. Mr. Hart fucked up on this one IMO.

I heard we are getting Olivera, who is suppose to be some big Cuban Prospect or something. But I still think giving up a solid top of the rotation lefty and our #1 position player prospect is too much.

IMO, you ain't a prospect anymore when you're 30.

Man, I've liked a lot of the trades Hart has done, but I am really not getting how this trade works for us.

This seems like a really stupid trade. If you're rebuilding, which this team is, why are you dumping prospects for a 30 year player that's basically unproven in MLB? Even if he's good, he's 30 years old! By the time the team gets good again, he could very well be in severe decline. Risk/reward here doesn't balance out at all.

Man, I've liked a lot of the trades Hart has done, but I am really not getting how this trade works for us.

I really hate this trade.

You'd think Wood alone with the relievers would have been more than enough without Peraza. They probably included Peraza so the Dodgers would take on Arroyo.

And we get a reliever that's out for a season and a minor league pitcher with an ERA nearly 5.

Peraza had potential to be a franchise player. Olivera has potential to be good for a few years.

I get a feeling that in 10 years (after Olivera is probably retired and Peraza is a perennial All-Star in his prime) we will regret this trade.

myrtle beach has a team if i remember correctly.....but i think they just changed affliation again this year so who knows who they are a front for now days

How can we be expected to watch the rest of this season? We're getting smoked by the Giants. 6-0 in the top of the 4th. Folty has given up 3 homers so far.
